Met his comedy sidekick Robert Webb while studying Modern History at Cambridge University. Performed and wrote the radio sketch show That Mitchell and Webb Sound, broadcast on BBC Radio 4 from 2003 to 2013. Won Best Comedy Performance at the 2009 BAFTAs for his role in Peep Show.
Alongside Robert Webb, fronted the British version of Apple's Get A Mac television advertisements. Published his autobiography, Back Story, in 2012.
