Biography
About Raj Babbar
Debuted in Kissa Kursi Ka (1977). Nominated for the 1994 Filmfare Best Villain Award. Former member of the Samajwadi Party, current member of the Indian National Congress party.
Member of Rajya Sabha from 1994-1999 and later also of Lok Sabha. In the capacity of Congress spokesman, he controversially claimed Rs. 12 was enough for a common man to get a full meal, drawing severe criticism.
He later apologised for his comment.
