Biography
About Shenaz Treasurywala
Is the daughter of a Merchant Navy Captain. Spent first seven years of her life in globetrotting on board cargo ships carrying potatoes, onions and rice. Was mentored by a photographer during her first year in St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, Maharastra.
Started her career as a model and appeared in TV commercials like Gold Spot, Philips, Trigger Jeans, Akai, Elle 18, and many more.
Worked as a Veejay for MTV early in her career. Had featured in MTV's Most Wanted (1992) which was the highest rated show on MTV for years. Enrolled in the Lee Strasberg Theater & Film Institute, New York, USA, during 2001 and took up a writing course in New York University.
Lost her luggage, passport and visa papers while traveling by Kuwait Airways, which incidentally garnered her a debut role in the Bollywood film Ishq Vishk (2003). Was on MTV Asia for 8 years hosting every show, based in Hong Kong, Singapore and Mumbai. Hosted an American travel TV show named Culture Shock in the year 2007.
Moved back to india during November 2017 after spending seven years in New York. Has written travel articles in magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Femina, and Elle.
