Biography
About Nagma
Was born to a Muslim mother and a Hindu father who belonged to the royal family of Jaisalmer. Is the great granddaughter of Gokuldas Morarji, who was a reputed businessman in the shipping, textile, agricultural and pharmaceutical industries. Was barely three months old when her mother divorced her father and married film producer Chander Sadanah.
Signed her debut film with Aamir Khan but her debut came to be with actor Salman Khan in Baaghi: A Rebel for Love (1990). Joined the main opposition Congress political party in Andhra Pradesh during April 2004. Started a boutique called Nagma in Mumbai's Bandra West, which was inaugrated by Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar.
Had to shut down her boutique after her father's deteriorating health and passing away on 21 December 2005. Was reportedly in relationships with Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly, actors Sharath Kumar, Ravi Kishan and Manoj Tiwari, the former three of whom were already married. Has acted in Hindi, Telugu, Chinese, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Bengali, Punjabi and Marathi language films.
Was a Muslim but embraced Christianity later in life.
