Was born in a family of actors, both her parents and sisters are actors.
Made her stage debut when she was three weeks old.
Met Edward Woodward in 1959 when he was doing a play with her father at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
After watching the scene from Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em where her character is hanging over a cliff, her mother slapped her in the face and told her to never do a stunt like that again.
Studied at the Corona Academy.
In 1987, appeared in an episode of The Equalizer with her future husband actor Edward Woodward.
