About Anupam Kher

Has appeared in over 400 films and more than 100 plays. An eight-time Filmfare award winner, four of which were in the Best Comedian category. Won two National Film Special Jury Awards for Daddy (1989) and Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara (2005) respectively.
Honoured with the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award, in 2004. Appointed goodwill ambassador of the Pratham Education Foundation in 2010, which works on improving children's education.
