About Rakesh Roshan

Made his acting debut in Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani (1970) and went on to subsequently star in over 40 films. Set up his own production company Filmkraft in 1980. Directed his first film in 1987, which was titled Khudgarz.
Was shot by two gang members in 2000, didn't suffer any serious injuries. Won the Filmfare Best Director award in 2004 for Koi Mil Gaya.
