Auditioned for Life of Pi (2012) as a request from his brother who was also auditioning for the role of Pi.
Had no acting experience prior to auditioning for Life of Pi (2012).
Was elected from a group of 3,000 other young men to play the lead role in Life of Pi (2012).
Studied a Mass Communication course at New York University.
