Biography
About Rajit Kapur
Moved to Mumbai with his family when he was a toddler and became fascinated with the performing arts in Cathedral & John Connon School. Was in class 6 when he did Khel Khilone, a skit on television (Doordarshan channel). Wrote Hindi plays and played Harmonium in his school days.
Completed his commerce graduation from a Mumbai college to assist in his father's business. Took up his first job of teaching English and History to school students. Captivated the audience with the detective series Byomkesh Bakshi so much so that people wrote to him about solving real life crime incidents.
Was spotted in the play Love Letters by renowned filmmaker Shyam Benegal, who offered him his debut film role in Suraj Ka Satvan Ghoda (1992).
