About Nico Santos

Emigrated from the Philippines to Oregon as a teenager before eventually settling in California. Was vice president of the drama club in high school. Majored in costuming in college and subsequently worked as a wardrobe assistant before someone recommended that he try stand-up comedy.
Began performing stand up in San Francisco and soon became a popular local comic in the Bay Area. Wrote for E!'s Fashion Police. Earned his breakout role as Mateo in the NBC series Superstore, which was only his fifth acting job.
