A fan and collector of Marvel comics since childhood. Went to high school with fellow Workaholics actor and cocreator Kyle Newacheck. Worked as a pizza delivery man while enrolled in community college.
In 2006, formed a sketch-comedy group, Mail Order Comedy, based in Los Angeles. Studied with the Groundlings, Upright Citizens Brigade and the National Lampoon Lemmings. Fractured his spine and underwent surgery after jumping off of a roof and landing on a table during a house party in 2011.
