Parents are both Christian ministers - his mother, a minister of the Disciples of Christ and his father was a Presbyterian minister.
Became a big fan of Australian actress Toni Collette when he was 11 years old, and ran a fan website devoted to her.
Was previously an Artist in Residence and Comedy Curator at Ars Nova, where he hosted the Showgasm variety show.
Was named one of Variety's Top Ten Comics to Watch in 2017.
Lent his voice to the hit comedy animated series Bob's Burgers, playing brunch blogger Dalton Crespin.
