Was encouraged by his saxophonist father and vocalist mother to become a musician, but he didn't love it as much.
Is a skilled musician, sings and plays piano and trumpet.
Studied and recorded with the Marsalis, a famous family of jazz musicians.
Before moving to L.A. to pursue acting, studied marketing and studio engineering.
Initially declined to play the role of Steve Harmon in Monster (2018).
