Biography
About Janhvi Kapoor
Her name is actually spelt as "Janhvi" but she became more famous as Jhanvi. Named after Urmila Matondkar's character in the film Judaai (1997). Was fondly called 'Jaan' by her mother, late Sridevi.
Participated in modelling and dancing competitions even in her school days. Did a course in Theatres and Films. Went to the same acting school in the USA as Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan Khan.
Her hobbies include Dancing, Travelling and Listening To Music. Is in a relationship with the actor, Akshat Rajan. Was caught in a controversy where intimate photos of her were leaked online where she was seen locking lips with her boyfriend.
Declined a role in a Telugu movie opposite to Mahesh Babu due to the large age gap. Very fond of getting her photos clicked and later sharing them with her fans on social media sites. Often seen accompanying her famous parents to award shows and premiers.
Debuted in Karan Johar's film, Dhadak (2018) alongside another newcomer, Shahid Kapoor's half-brother, Ishaan Khatter. When interviewed, said she enjoyed having Rajasthani cuisines like Rogan josh, Laal maans, Kebab, etc. and prefers non-vegetarian over vegetarian dishes.
Was often compared to her actress mother, Sridevi during the shooting of Dhadak which the choreographer, Farah Khan called "unfair".
