Crowned Miss Asian America and Miss Chinatown USA in '95 and '99 respectively which paved her way towards a career in the movie industry. Specialises in playing the traditional Chinese instrument, guzheng, based on which she had her own radio show. Discovered by Robert Duvall to star in his western Broken Trail which earned her a best supporting actress NAMIC Vision Award nomination.
Won two Best Actress Awards at both the Houston & Iowa International Film Festivals for indie feature film Heathens & Thieves. A series regular on Desperate Housewives, she became synonymous for her role as Xiao-Mei and also as Dr Jelly Lee in General Hospital. Written a book on her profound growth while traveling through the 50 states of America.
Designed a sold out limited edition clothing line where significant percentage of profits were donated to Appalachia.
