Is a professional rodeo rider, and has been training horses since he was 12.
Met The Rider director Chloe Zhao when she visited a ranch where he worked at the time, doing research for another film.
A near fatal head injury he suffered while horse riding and subsequent return to the saddle inspired filmmaker Chloe Zhao to write and make The Rider.
Made his film debut in 2017's The Rider.
Runs his own breeding program, called Jandreau Performance Horses.
