El profesor Jirafales llega a la vecindad y cae en un hoyo el Chavo le explica que los están cavando para plantar árboles y tener animalitos. El Sr. Barriga les explica a todos los inquilinos que ha decidido vender la vecindad a su amigo Rufino Malacara. Todos se asustan y se preocupan, pero Rufino les asegura que él hará que sus vidas cambien. Le entrega un cheque al Sr. Barriga, y toma posesión de la vecindad.
