It is the 1960s, and despite being the grandson of a Klansman, Bob Zellner believes in the surging civil rights movement. To complete a thesis on race relations, he decides to meet and interview Reverend Abernathy and Rosa Parks. In this little trip, he witnesses horrific acts of racism perpetuated by the police, government officials, and white citizens against black activists. This changes his outlook in life and makes him decide to join the movement for equality.
