He attempted to escape many times but was unsuccessfull, he realizes that he is in for the long haul and decides that his wife Sandra should remarry for the sake of their children Melody and Mark who have been made to believe anyway that he is already dead. Many years has been passed he was informed that the real culprit has been caught and he is being released.

Birthplace: Manila, Philippines

Trivia: Did all sorts of odds jobs growing up; these include selling peanuts at movie theaters, polishing shoes, working at a pants manufacturing factory, etc. Performed on stage as a chorus dancer at the age of 16 at the Avenue Theater and later on at the Lyric Theater; adopted Golay as his first stage name. Collected 5 pesos as his first talent fee. Acted in his first movie Dugo at Bayan (1946) at the age of 19, in which he was credited as Rodolfo Quizon. Established his own production company RVQ Productions in 1965. Diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in 2009, following which his public appearances kept decreasing. Received the prestigious Grand Collar of the Order of the Golden Heart in 2010; also won the Outstanding Manilan in the same year; was awarded the Diwa ng Lahi award in 2012 by City Hall. Honored by the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) with the release of a limited edition Dolphy Stamp in November 23, 2013. Honored for his contributions to the Philippine entertainment industry in 2012, with July 13 being declared as National Day of Remembrance. Regarded as Philippine's king of comedy.

Trivia: Debuted in Ang TV, a youth-based television show, in 1992 and became the country's teen idol soon after. Released her own brand of dolls named Jolina Dolls in the market. Chosen to be Walt Disney-Universal's first Filipino recording artist. Was awarded a three-year scholarship in Computer Science by AMA University; Won the Outstanding Student and Star Student Awards during college. Released her first album Jolina in 1998. Opened Jolina's Fashion Gallery in Quizon City. Received the Outstanding Young Entrepreneur Award from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in 2002. Provides financial support to a number of orphans under the care of Cradle of Love Foundation; is involved with various other foundations, including GMA Kapuso Foundation, Bantay Bata Foundation, Ayala Group's Children's Hour Foundation, and Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Played the role of Dakila, an elder with magical powers in the television fantasy Mulawin, which first aired in 2004.
