Passed away at the age of 65 on March 10, 2014 due to stroke.

Trivia: Hails from a very poor family. Before joining showbiz, Bearwin and his family barely managed to eat. Made his debut in showbiz in 1991 with the ABS-CBN sitcom Palibhasa Lalake. Rose to prominence with the 2003 TV show You And Me Against The World in which he portrayed the character Dirty Harry. After entering showbiz, he went on an eating binge to satisfy his craving for good food and ended up putting on a lot of weight. Took to a tough exercise and diet regimen and shed 45 pounds which became the talk of the town. His post on Facebook titled, "You must make a CHOICE to take a CHANCE or your life will never CHANGE. Be a Blessing. Be an Inspiration," went viral on Facebook. Moonlights as a magician.
