Debuted in Ang TV, a youth-based television show, in 1992 and became the country's teen idol soon after. Released her own brand of dolls named Jolina Dolls in the market. Chosen to be Walt Disney-Universal's first Filipino recording artist. Was awarded a three-year scholarship in Computer Science by AMA University; Won the Outstanding Student and Star Student Awards during college. Released her first album Jolina in 1998. Opened Jolina's Fashion Gallery in Quizon City. Received the Outstanding Young Entrepreneur Award from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in 2002. Provides financial support to a number of orphans under the care of Cradle of Love Foundation; is involved with various other foundations, including GMA Kapuso Foundation, Bantay Bata Foundation, Ayala Group's Children's Hour Foundation, and Make-A-Wish Foundation.
