Co-host of Eat Bulaga! the longest-running variety game show in Philippines television history. As part of the Philippines Bowling team he won gold in several International bowling competitions, such as the AMF Bowling World Cup in Bogota, Columbia in 1978 and again in 1984, in Sydney, Australia. Was elected as the Vice Mayor of Quezon City in 1988. Elected to the Senate of the Philippines in 1992, making him the third member of his family to enter the Senate after his grandfather and granduncle. Founded and organized the highly effective Quezon City Anti-Drug Council. Was honored twice by the United States based International Narcotics Enforcement Officers Association for his achievement. Courted controversy in July 2016 for making unsavoury remarks against a female winner of the popular noontime game show Eat Bulaga! where he was one of the hosts.
