Jennifer Howard (Actor) .. Janet's Nurse
Edson Stroll (Actor) .. Walter Smith
Trivia: Attractive, dark-haired leading man Edson Stroll was born in Chicago in the mid-'30s and arrived in Hollywood just in time for television to have eaten away at most of the opportunities he might otherwise have had. Possessed of a deep voice to go with his good looks, he appeared in Westerns and adventure shows such as Tombstone Territory and Sea Hunt, plus a pair of Twilight Zone episodes, "The Eye of the Beholder" and "The Trade-ins," and the Elvis Presley vehicle G.I. Blues, in an uncredited role. He finally started getting leading parts in films in 1961, but those were in a pair of Three Stooges features, the too-opulent-for-its-own-good Snow White and the Three Stooges (playing Prince Charming) and The Three Stooges in Orbit. From there, his being cast as Gunner's Mate Virgil Edwards in the sitcom McHale's Navy -- playing the resident lothario of Ernest Borgnine's motley crew -- must have seemed a step up. He was never in another feature film, though he has since turned up in episodes of Simon & Simon and Murder, She Wrote, among other series, and as of 2003, was a top voice artist in Hollywood.
George Keymas (Actor) .. Leader
Born: November 18, 1925
William D. Gordon (Actor) .. Doctor
Trivia: William D. Gordon got his start writing for radio programs like "The Cisco Kid," "The Tommy Dorsey Show" and "Count of Monte Cristo" during the mid-1930s. In 1939, Gordon began directing early, early television shows for the Mutual Don Lee Network, California and continued working in television and radio in various capacities, including director, producer, announcer, and actor through the early 1950s. He began writing teleplays for the series Maverick and Riverboat in 1959. He continued writing for television nighttime dramas and daytime series through the early 1980s. Gordon also directed Queen for a Day and helped produce, write and edit the television series CHiPs with James Doherty from 1977 to 1982. Upon retirement, Gordon began writing novels about the Civil War.
Maxine Stuart (Actor) .. Janet Tyler (bandaged)
Born: June 28, 1918
Died: June 06, 2013
Birthplace: Deal, New Jersey, United Staes
Trivia: From the '50s through the '80s, American actress Maxine Stuart played character parts ranging from maternal to hard-bitten. Among Stuart's many films were Winning (969), Fun with Dick and Jane (1977) and Coast to Coast (1980). Her TV soap opera assignments included The Edge of Night, as Grace O'Leary; The Young Marrieds (a briefie from 1964) as Mrs. Korman; and General Hospital, as Mrs. Baldwyn. Occasionally breaking into prime-time, Ms. Stuart was co-featured on Room for One More (1962) as the wife of "funny neighbor" Jack Albertson; on Slattery's People (1965), as secretary to politician Richard Crenna; and on Hail to the Chief (1985) as the swinging mother of American president Patty Duke. Twilight Zone addicts best remember Maxine Stuart for a role in which her face never appeared: the bandaged plastic-surgery patient in the 1960 episode "The Eye of the Beholder."
Donna Douglas (Actor) .. Janet Tyler (revealed)
Born: September 26, 1933
Died: January 01, 2015
Birthplace: Pride, Louisiana, United States
Trivia: Though she appeared in feature films before and after the much-loved '60s sitcom The Beverly Hillbillies, American actress Donna Douglas will always be remembered as the buxom, blue-eyed tomboy Elly May Clampett. She was born Doris Smith in Pride, LA, and grew up to be very much like Elly May in that she always had a special affinity for animals and nature. As a teen, Douglas was a cheerleader and won some beauty contests, notably the title of Miss New Orleans 1957. From there Douglas appeared as the Letters Girl on The Perry Como Show and later appeared on The Steve Allen Show as a Billboard Girl. She made her feature-film debut in Career Girl (1959) and followed it up with a co-starring role in the Rock Hudson/Doris Day screwball comedy Lover Come Back (1960). She was cast as Elly May in 1962 and remained with the series through its demise in 1971. Later, she returned for a Beverly Hillbillies made-for-TV reunion movie in 1981. In 1965, Douglas starred opposite Elvis Presley in Fred de Cordova's Frankie and Johnnie. It would be her last film that had nothing to do with Hillbillies. Whereas some actors deeply resent being so closely associated with a single role, Donna Douglas embraced Elly Mae and continued to make public appearances in costume. A devout Christian, Douglas was also a noted gospel singer. Douglas died in 2015, at age 81.
Joanna Heyes (Actor) .. Reception Nurse
