Trivia: Bitten by the acting bug in high school, statuesque leading lady Sally Kellerman studied with Jeff Corey and at Actors Studio West before making her film debut in Reform School Girl (1959). In the 1960s, she built up her reputation with offbeat guest spots on such TV series as Bob Hope Chrysler Theatre, Slattery's People and It Takes a Thief. She also essayed small but attention-grabbing parts in films like The Boston Strangler (1968, as the only surviving victim) and The April Fools (1969). Her breakthrough role was her Oscar-nominated turn as Major "Hot-Lips" Houlihan in MASH--a role she very nearly talked herself out of. Upon reading the script, she angrily confronted director Robert Altman, raging over the insulting and humiliating aspects of the part. She was then mollified by Altman, who declared that her unbridled outrage was just what he wanted from "Hot Lips." Though MASH opened up better film opportunities for Kellerman, she continued playing more oddball character roles than traditional "star" assignments. From time to time, she has spelled her film activities with nightclub singing appearances. Previously married to director Rick Edelstein, Sally Kellerman is currently wed to Jonathan Kane, who has produced many of her more recent films.
James Noah (Actor)

Fritz Kortner (Actor)
Born: May 12, 1892
Died: July 22, 1970
Trivia: Fritz Nathan Kohn was an actor in German theater and films by the mid teens, and he directed himself in Gregor Marold and Else Von Erlenhof after World War One. He stuck to acting in the '20s, appearing in such notable films as Robert Wiene's Orlacs Hande (aka The Hands of Orlac) and G.W. Pabst's Die Buchse Der Pandora (aka Pandora's Box). In the early '30s he directed and co-scripted Der Brave Sunder (aka The Upright Sinner) and So Ein Mudel Vergisst Man Nicht but then had to flee the Nazis. Kortner came to the States in 1938, and after writing and directing on Broadway, became an actor and writer in Hollywood, most notably with The Strange Death of Adolf Hitler. Returning to Germany after the war, he resumed acting and directing in theater and films, helming Die Stadt Ist Voller Geheimnisse and Sarajevo, as well as the television film Die Sendung Der Lysistrata.
Barry J. Gordon (Actor) .. Skeet
Born: January 01, 1948
Trivia: Barry Gordon was seven years old when he entered the ranks of the record industry, singing the novelty hit "I'm Gettin' Nuthin for Christmas" (1955). Gordon followed this triumph with "Rock N Roll Mother Goose," which was no chart-buster but did land him a spot in the 1956 Frank Tashlin-directed feature The Girl Can't Help It (though his song was cut from the final release version, he can be seen as a wise-beyond-his-years paper boy, ogling Jayne Mansfield as she swivels by). By the late 1950s, Gordon was best known for his guest appearances on The Jack Benny Program, expertly impersonating that series' venerable star. At age 14, he was nominated for a Tony award for his portrayal of Nick in Herb Gardner 's Broadway hit A Thousand Clowns, a role he repeated in the 1965 film version. In 1967, he essayed his only film-starring role, playing a brainy high school nerd in Out of It (his on-screen nemesis was none other than Jon Voight). Developing into an Woody Allen-esque comic supporting player, Gordon appeared regularly in such sitcoms as The New Dick Van Dyke Show, A Family For Joe, Archie Bunker's Place and Good Time Harry. More recently, Gordon has carved himself a niche as one of the busiest and most versatile voiceover artists in the TV animation industry: one of his better-known characterizations is Donatello in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Barry Gordon is a past president of the Screen Actors Guild.
