Trivia: Born in Montreal, but lived in Florida and Texas until he was 13 and moved to Toronto. Featured in a series of commercials for Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. Daughters Brianna and Dominique have each appeared in episodes of their father's Murdoch Mysteries series. Was involved in the design of the suits his Victorian-era detective character wears in Murdoch Mysteries. In 2013, his character, William Murdoch, from Murdoch Mysteries, made a crossover appearance on the Canadian TV-drama Republic of Doyle. Volunteers with Sheena's Place, a support center for people with eating disorders.

Trivia: Has been acting since she was a teenager, and after college was a member of Sydney-based Bell Shakespeare and the Melbourne Theatre Company in addition to working in Australian TV, but moved to Canada in the late 1990s to pursue greener pastures. Mother worked in real estate in Australia, and, due to the fickle nature of show business, also obtained her real-estate license there in the mid-2000s. Accolades include Best Performance by an Actress in a Continuing Leading Dramatic Role for Durham County at the 23rd Gemini Awards, which recognize achievements in Canadian TV, in 2008. Made her Canadian stage debut in 2012 in a revival of Andrew Bovell's Speaking in Tongues (1996), which she had seen in its original incarnation in Australia after she got out of acting school.
