Bijou Phillips (Actor) .. Lenore Harker
Born: April 01, 1980
Birthplace: Greenwich, Connecticut, United States
Trivia: A reformed, drug-addicted wild child-model turned actress from a notable celebrity lineage, Bijou Phillips' uninhibited club-kid childhood proved fodder for the celebrity-obsessed masses as its lurid details were documented in nearly every tabloid on the shelves. Yet despite the traps and temptations that she may have fallen victim to in her early years, Phillips has restored her existence from tabloid headlines to forge a successful career in film and music. Born in Greenwich, CT, in 1980 to Mamas & Papas founder John Phillips and actress Genevieve Waite, Bijou's early years were accelerated into overdrive when she began modeling at the age of 13. Emancipated from her parents the following year, Phillips went out on her own in New York City and although she initially resisted the lure of its cocaine-fueled nightlife after witnessing its effects on her sister and father's lives, soon began to experiment with drugs after being ostracized by the city's substance-powered movers and shakers. Though she would become the youngest model ever to appear on the cover of Vogue and once again became the center of attention for appearing in Calvin Klein's revealing and controversial ad campaign, life in the fast lane was bleeding Phillips of both her soul and vital energy. It was only a few short months later that the former champion equestrian pleaded with her father to be allowed to return home and attend rehab -- a plea that was initially denied until her father awoke to the mirror-image dangers his daughter was facing. Recovering from her accelerated youth more focused and wiser from experience, Phillips began to turn life around by focusing on her music and film career. As the animal-loving and self-proclaimed bipolar actress emerged to appear in such films as Almost Famous (2000) and renegade director Larry Clark's Bully (2001), she also began to reach into her past to find inspiration as a singer/songwriter. Utilizing the 12 chords her father had taught her on a guitar at age 15, and drawing from the harrowing experiences that nearly destroyed her in her early teens, Phillips crafted her debut album entitled I'd Rather Eat Glass. An unguarded musical eulogy to her former life, Phillips' debut as a songwriter may not have broken as much new ground as her father in his prime, though it marked a maturity and growth that hinted toward the good things to come from a reformed free spirit reclaiming her youthful vigor.Over the next several years, Phillips would continue to appear in films like The Door in the Floor, Havoc, The Wizard of Gore, Choke, and Black Limousine. She would also find particular success on the quirky sitcom Raising Hope.
James Murray (Actor) .. Frank Davis
Born: January 22, 1975
Birthplace: Greater Manchester, England
Trivia: First major role was on the British soap Coronation Street. Met his future wife, Sarah Parish, on set in 2004 while filming the series Cutting It. His first child with Parish, Ella-Jayne, was born with a heart defect and died at 8 months; the couple later conducted a fund-raiser for the pediatric unit of the hospital that treated her. His character on Primeval, Stephen Hart, inspired an action figure. Performed his own stunts on Primeval. Is the great-grandson of Richard Hollins Murray, who invented the reflecting lens in 1927.
Jack Ellis (Actor) .. Professor Baldwin
Born: June 04, 1955
Owen Teale (Actor) .. Sgt. Perkins
Born: May 20, 1961
Birthplace: Swansea, Wales
Trivia: As a teenager, occasionally worked at Porthcawl Little Theatre. Left school near the end of his final year to work as a children's entertainer at the Welsh theme park Barry Island Pleasure Park. Was accepted by the Guildford School of Acting in September 1980 and by Chistmas 1983 had received his Equity card. Spent four years with the Royal Shakespeare Company, appearing in plays such as Julius Caesar and Robin Hood. Made his Broadway debut in A Doll's House, opposite Janet McTeer, in 1997. Won Broadway's Tony Award as Best Actor for A Doll's House. Played First Voice in a 2014 touring production of Dylan Thomas' Under Milk Wood; he later played Dai Bread in the BBC TV movie.
Raphaël Coleman (Actor) .. Chris Davis
Born: September 30, 1994
Tommy Kirk (Actor)
Born: December 10, 1941
Trivia: American actor Tommy Kirk tried out as a youngster for the Pasadena Playhouse, the result of a dare made by Kirk's older brother. After a few minor TV roles, Kirk was signed by Walt Disney, who cast the teenager as one-half of "The Hardy Boys" on that popular daily segment of The Mickey Mouse Club. Young Kirk was promoted to the leading juvenile role in Disney's Old Yeller (1957), a three-handkerchief classic that made Kirk a star and a stalwart of the fan club set. In 1959, Kirk was the hirsute protagonist of The Shaggy Dog, one of Disney's biggest money-making films. When asked in later years, Kirk had fond memories of Disney but was not so politely inclined to his Shaggy Dog co-star Fred MacMurray. It was MacMurray who gave Kirk "the biggest dressing down of my life" on the set of Disney's Bon Voyage (1962). Kirk would confess that he fully deserved the scolding; at the time of the shooting, Kirk was addicted to amphetamines, and his resultant behavior was both erratic and obstructive. Whatever MacMurray told Kirk on the Bon Voyage set was quickly forgotten, however, for the young actor was fired from the 1965 John Wayne vehicle Sons of Katie Elder because of his being busted for marijuana use. As a consequence of crossing the "Duke," Kirk was effectively shut out of the big studios, and was forced to settle for silly leading roles in the American-International Beach Party films, and in such low-grade farragoes as Mars Needs Women (1968). Compelled to take menial jobs after his movie career ended, Kirk attempted a theatrical comeback in the early '70s, but he had been forgotten by all but Disney buffs. Whatever the case, Tommy Kirk has overcome his drug problems in recent years and has become a favorite all over again on the nostalgia convention-circuit.
Shirley Bonne (Actor)
Bill Thurman (Actor)
Born: November 04, 1920
Trivia: American actor Bill Thurman is one of several Southern performers specializing in "regional" pictures -- films made exclusively for distribution in the deep South by states' rights exhibitors. In the '60s, Thurman appeared in a group of inexpensive horror films, many of them remakes of earlier American-International Pictures releases, and most of them directed in a hurry by Larry Buchanan: titles in this series include Curse of the Swamp Creature (1966), Zontar, the Thing From Venus (1968) and In the Year 2889 (1968). The actor has had numerous roles in other exploitation quickies like Gator Bait (1975) and Slumber Party 57 (1977). Bill Thurman had one shining moment of glory in an A-picture, as the high school coach husband of frustrated Cloris Leachman in Peter Bogdanovich's The Last Picture Show (1972); but as late as 1986, Thurman was back at his old stand, appearing as Reverend Bill McWilley in Mountaintop Motel Massacre (1986).
