Timothy Olyphant
(Actor)
.. David Dutten
Born:
May 20, 1968
Birthplace: Honolulu, Hawaii, United States
Trivia:
Bearing the kind of sharp-eyed, vaguely sinister good looks that often get actors cast as charismatic drug dealers or murder suspects, Timothy Olyphant first impressed film audiences playing none other than the resident charismatic drug dealer of Doug Liman's Go (1999). Born in Hawaii on May 20, 1968, Olyphant grew up in California. After attending the University of California, where he swam competitively, the actor made his professional debut in the Playwrights Horizons' production of The Monogamist, for which he won a Theatre World Award for Outstanding Debut Performance. Olyphant's first film appearance came courtesy of a miniscule role in The First Wives Club (1996); somewhat more substantial work followed in 1997's Scream 2, in which the actor was cast as one of Neve Campbell's friends. After a turn in When Trumpets Fade (1998), a critically acclaimed made-for-TV WWII drama, and a memorable guest-shot on an episode of Sex and the City, Olyphant gave a scene-stealing performance in Go, managing to stand out in an ensemble cast that included Sarah Polley, Katie Holmes, Taye Diggs, and Scott Wolf. His work caught the notice of more than one industry observer, and by the following year, the actor had a number of projects in the works. Included among them were The Broken Hearts Club, a comedy that cast Olyphant as a gay photographer; Gone in Sixty Seconds, which featured him as a detective on the trail of a car thief (Nicolas Cage); and Auggie Rose, a drama about assumed identity in which Olyphant played the ex-cellmate of a dead con man. In 2001, Olyphant would turn up in the tale of an aspiring singer who gets to live a dream, Rock Star.Once touted as "the next big thing," Olyphant's stock seemed to drop after attaching himself to a string of duds, most notably the aforementioned Rock Star, Dreamcatcher, and A Man Apart, the latter two both released in 2003. Fortunately, the following year saw things looking up for the actor, with a starring role on the critically acclaimed series from HBO, the Western Deadwood. Over the next several years, Olyphant would appear in films like Live Free or Die Hard and I Am Number Four, in addition to a role on the night time drama Damages, as well as the massively popular series Justified.
Radha Mitchell
(Actor)
.. Judy Dutten
Born:
November 12, 1973
Birthplace: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Trivia:
Small, blonde, and Australian, Radha Mitchell first made an impression on international audiences as the paramour of a heroin-addled photographer (Ally Sheedy) in Lisa Cholodenko's High Art (1998). Mitchell, a native of Melbourne, began acting when she was still in high school and had her professional debut on the popular Aussie soap Neighbours in 1994. Two years later, she made her film debut in the romantic comedy Love and Other Catastrophes, in which she starred as a college student experiencing a messy breakup with her girlfriend (Frances O'Connor). The film proved to be fairly popular in Australia, but it wasn't until she was cast in High Art that Mitchell gained an introduction to a wider audience. The critical success of High Art made it possible for her to do more international work, and her increasing popularity was reflected by her subsequent casting in a number of projects. Among them were Pitch Black (2000), a sci-fi horror film in which Mitchell played a pilot whose ship crashes on a hostile planet, and Everything Put Together (2000), a drama about a suburban woman (Mitchell) shunned by her peers after the death of her baby. Her career continued with a diverse run of films including Nobody's Baby, Man on Fire, Finding Neverland, and landing the lead in Woody Allen's Melinda and Melinda. Those last three films all hit screens in 2004, and although kept working steadily, she never quite capitalized on the buzz she generated that year. Her other credits include Silent Hill, Henry Poole Is Here, Surrogates, and the horror film The Crazies.
Joe Anderson
(Actor)
.. Russell
Born:
March 26, 1982
Birthplace: England
Trivia:
When British actor Joe Anderson debuted onscreen in the mid-2000s, he immediately evinced a predilection for seeking out supporting roles in the most conceptually interesting and dynamic material available to him. Anderson's chosen projects -- which spanned a wide variety of genres -- never felt less than arresting. These included the Agnieszka Holland Beethoven biopic Copying Beethoven (2006), Julie Taymor's much-anticipated Beatles drama Across the Universe (2007) and the critically praised biopic of post-punk singer Ian Curtis, Control (2007).
Danielle Panabaker
(Actor)
.. Becca
Born:
September 19, 1987
Birthplace: Augusta, Georgia, United States
Trivia:
American actress Danielle Panabaker launched her career as a teenage ingenue in the late '90s, first with bit parts in such series as The Bernie Mac Show, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and The Division, then with a string of well-received feature roles on the big and small screens. These included parts in Stuck in the Suburbs (2004), Yours, Mine & Ours (2005), and Mr. Brooks (2007). In the latter, a psychological thriller helmed by Bruce A. Evans, Panabaker plays Jane Brooks, the daughter of a seemingly normal man (Kevin Costner) who just happens to be a serial murderer -- the notorious "Thumbprint Killer."By all accounts a child prodigy, Panabaker graduated from high school about four years early (at age 14!) as valedictorian of her class; she then attended UCLA. In addition to the aforementioned roles, Panabaker was among the cast of the Fred Schepisi-directed HBO miniseries Empire Falls (2005), adapted from the acclaimed novel by Richard Russo and starring Paul Newman, Ed Harris, Aidan Quinn, and Helen Hunt. She also portrayed James Woods's daughter on the prime-time series Shark (2006), a drama about a ruthless celebrity attorney (Woods). Up on the big screen, Panabaker earned genre cred with roles in Friday the 13th, The Crazies, John Carpenter's The Ward, and Piranha 3DD, though it was small screen work on shows like Medium, Law and Order: LA, Necessarry Roughness and Grimm that served as the bread and butter of her career. In 2014, she originated the role of Dr. Caitlin Snow on the CW series Arrow, which led to her regular role playing the character on The Flash.
