Trivia:
Began her acting career at the age of six in Puerto Rico, first appearing in the soap opera Cristina Bazán. Made public she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005, but the disease has been in remission since 2006. Her first book, Viviendo, detailing her battle with breast cancer and divorce from singer Luis Fonsi, was published in 2013. Has worked with Yoplait and the Susan G. Komen Foundation as an inspirational spokeswoman for breast cancer research.
