Gave out hugs on the streets of Calgary for "Hug a Non-Native Day," an event she created to promote race understanding. Served as Artistic Director of the Crazy Horse Aboriginal Theatre Company. Spoke at oil company meetings about concerns with oil exploration in the Amazon. Traveled with actress Emma Thompson and their daughters on a Greenpeace Save the Arctic campaign.
