Included: the Big D Jamboree at the Dallas Sportatorium, which featured country music's biggest stars from the late 1940s through the early '60s; the WWII-era Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP), who trained at Sweetwater; and the Mighty Mites, a Depression-era high-school football team from Fort Worth.
