Paul Hogan (Actor) .. Michael J. `Crocodile' Dundee
Born: October 08, 1939
Birthplace: Lightning Ridge, New South Wales, Australia
Trivia: Australian actor Paul Hogan was mellow-voiced and rugged enough to succeed as an action hero, but he loved making people laugh, something he'd been doing on a professional basis since his debut as a blindfolded, tap dancing knife thrower on the Aussie TV amateur contest New Faces. With his late-1970s weekly half hour TV show The Paul Hogan Show, he became the most popular comedian in Australia. His material was limited to a handful of subjects -- breasts, bums, beer, and soccer -- but the series' selling card was Hogan's ability to play a wide variety of distinct characterizations, sometimes making the transition from one character to another so quickly that he literally seemed to be two different people. Hogan was able to expand his popularity to England with a series of commercials for Australian Lager Beer; but though The Paul Hogan Show had been shown on a smattering of American independent and PBS stations, he was largely unknown in the U.S. While visiting New York in 1985, Hogan was struck by the wide cultural gaps between the Big Apple and the Outback. With his manager John Cornell as director, Hogan took a big chunk of his TV earnings and produced an amiable culture-clash comedy, Crocodile Dundee (Hogan and Cornell owned 65 percent of the picture, the rest going to the circle of friends who'd invested in the project). To make sure that American audiences would be primed for this film, Hogan agreed to film a series of "visit Australia" ads for no salary. The strategy worked: Crocodile Dundee opened big in the U.S. in the fall of 1986, ultimately posting a worldwide gross of $375,000,000. While filming Dundee, the long-married Hogan fell in love with leading lady Linda Kozlowski; after divesting himself of wife number one (he claimed that the marriage was on the rocks anyway), Hogan made Kozlowski his bride -- and his most frequent costar in subsequent productions. Those later Paul Hogan vehicles failed to match the popularity of Crocodile Dundee, but included Crocodile Dundee II, Lightning Jack, and Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles. Hogan and Kozlowski divorced in 2014.
Linda Kozlowski (Actor) .. Sue Charlton
Born: January 07, 1958
Trivia: Juilliard graduate Linda Kozlowski made her off-Broadway debut in 1981's How It All Began. In 1984, the blonde, coolly sensual Kozlowski was cast as "good-time girl" Miss Forsythe in the revival of Death of a Salesman, a role she repeated in the 1985 movie version. She became a full-fledged film star in the internationally popular Crocodile Dundee (1986), in which she appeared with her future husband Paul Hogan; she went on to co-star with Hogan in Crocodile Dundee II (1989) and Almost an Angel (1990). In 1988, Kozlowski stirred up controversy with her (implied) nude bondage scene in the TV miniseries Favorite Son. She was seen in the 1995 remake of Village of the Damned, and then took a lengthy break from acting to spend time with her family. Kozlowski returned to the Dundee franchise in 2001 with Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles and then returned to her retirement.
Jere Burns (Actor) .. Arnan Rothman
Born: October 15, 1954
Birthplace: Cambridge, Massachusetts
Trivia: Worked as a taxi driver in Boston and as a lifeguard on Cape Cod during a two-year hiatus between high school and college. Before moving to Los Angeles in the mid-1980s, performed with the New York Shakespeare Festival, with Joseph Papp's Public Theatre and in a Steppenwolf Theatre off-Broadway production of Sam Shepard's True West. Used CPR to save a heart-attack victim's life in a restaurant in 1997. Has run in marathons and competed in triathlons. Actress Abby Dalton (Falcon Crest) is his mother-in-law.
Alec Wilson (Actor) .. Jacko
Gerry Skilton (Actor) .. Nugget O'Cass
Born: March 12, 1945
Jonathan Banks (Actor) .. Milos Drubnik
Born: January 31, 1947
Birthplace: Washington, District of Columbia, United States
Trivia: Jonathan Banks began his film career in the sort of roles described by character actor Frank Faylen as "sneezers." For example: if you sneezed, you'd miss Banks' microscopic part in 1980's Stir Crazy. He was more visible in such roles as the hitchhiker in the 1982 biopic Frances and Algren in the 1983 seriocomedy 48 Hours. On television, Jonathan Banks was cast as the scurrilous extraterrestrial Commander Kroll in Otherworld (1985) and as Frank McPike, Ken Wahl's choleric boss, in Wiseguy (1987). Banks would continue to appear in several more films over the coming years, like Dark Blue and Reign Over Me, as well as TV shows like Breaking Bad.
Steve Rackman (Actor) .. Donk
Serge Cockburn (Actor) .. Mikey Dundee
Born: February 01, 1990
Aida Turturro (Actor) .. Jean Ferraro
Born: September 25, 1962
Birthplace: Brooklyn, New York, United States
Trivia: Aida Turturro, born September 25, 1962, in New York City, can be seen in numerous feature films in addition to her most well-known role as Janice on HBO's Sopranos series. Turturro has show business in her blood, attested by the careers of her cousins, Nicholas Turturro and John Turturro (actor-brothers), and is a long-term friend of Sopranos co-star James Gandolfini. She and Gandolfini have made collaborate film appearances in Fallen (1998) and Angie (1994) -- in the latter of which, Turturro supported the role of Geena Davis as her best friend. In 1992, Turturro and Gandolfini starred with Jessica Lange and Alec Baldwin on Broadway in A Streetcar Named Desire.Residing in New York for much of her life, Turturro attended the State University of New York at New Paltz as a theater student and graduated in 1984. Her first feature-film appearance came in 1989 as Grace in True Love, a film involving Italian family life. She has since made numerous film and network television appearances, including the features Jersey Girl and Denise Calls Up, and multiple episodes of both Law & Order and Mr. & Mrs. Smith. In 1998, she collaborated with cousin John Turturro in a supporting role under his direction in Illuminata. Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles (2001), a silly adventure film following up a pair of Dundee hits in the 1980s, featured Turturro in the role of Jean. In that same year, she appeared in Edward Burns' Sidewalks of New York, the title of which attracted gratuitous attention to its theatrical release shortly after the terrorist attacks on the U.S. on September 11, 2001.She enjoyed a long run on The Sopranos, and acted in her brother John's idiosyncratic musical Romance & Cigarettes, and had a major part in 2010's A Little Help.
Paul Rodriguez (Actor) .. Diego
Born: January 19, 1955
Trivia: Latino stand-up comedian Paul Rodriguez honed his craft by playing the Improv-Comedy Store-Catch a Rising Star circuit in the early 1980s. After making his first film appearance in DC Cab (1983). Rodriguez starred in the short-running sitcom AKA Pablo (1984), drawing from his own experiences to play the role of up-and-coming nightclub comic Paul (Pablo) Rivera. Though AKA Pablo was far from a hit, Rodriguez continued to be very much in demand for such comedy films as Miracles (1986) and Born in East LA (1987). On TV, he hosted the 1988 syndicated version of The Newlywed Game and was a regular in the 1989 sitcom Trial and Error and the 1990 adventure weekly Grand Slam. In 1994, Paul Rodriguez doubled as star and director of Million to Juan, a comedy-fantasy update of Mark Twain's "The Million Pound Bank Note."
Kaitlin Hopkins (Actor) .. Miss Mathis
Born: February 01, 1964
David Ngoombujarra (Actor) .. Arthur
Born: June 27, 1967
Died: July 16, 2011
George Hamilton (Actor) .. Himself
Born: August 12, 1939
Birthplace: Blytheville, Arkansas, United States
Trivia: Actor George Hamilton got his start in high school dramatics. Movie-star handsome, Hamilton played the lead in his very first film, Crime and Punishment USA (1959). While his acting talent was barely discernible in his earliest effort, Hamilton steadily improved in such MGM films as Home From the Hill (1960), Where the Boys Are (1960), Light in the Piazza (1961). He was at his best in a brace of biopics: in Warner Bros.' Act One (1963) he played aspiring playwright Moss Hart, while in Your Cheatin' Heart (1965), he registered well as self-destructive C&W singer Hank Williams. His much-publicized mid-1960s dating of President Johnson's daughter Lynda Bird was unfairly written off by some as mere opportunism, a calculated ploy to buoy up a flagging career. In fact, it did more harm than good to Hamilton: by 1969, movie roles had dried up, and he was compelled to accept his first TV-series role, playing jet-setter Duncan Carlyle in The Survivors. The following year, he starred as State Department functionary Jack Brennan in the weekly TV espionager Paris 7000. He staged a spectacular comeback as star and executive producer of Love at First Bite (1979), a screamingly funny "Dracula" take-off that won the actor a Golden Globe nomination. Even better was Zorro the Gay Blade (1980), which unfortunately failed to match the excellent box-office performance of First Bite but which still provided a much-needed shot in the arm to Hamilton's career. He went on to play such campish roles as villainous movie producer Joel Abrigor in TV's Dynasty (1985-86 season only) and jaded 007-type Ian Stone in the weekly Spies (1987). Throughout the thick and thin of his acting career, Hamilton remained highly visible on the international social scene, squiring such high-profile lovelies as Elizabeth Taylor and Imelda Marcos. He also remained financially solvent with his line of skin products and tanning salons. In 1995, George Hamilton hopped on the talk-show bandwagon, co-starring with his former wife Alana (who'd remarried rocker Rod Stewart) on a not-bad syndicated daily TV chatfest.
Mike Tyson (Actor) .. Himself
Born: June 30, 1966
Birthplace: Brooklyn, New York, United States
Trivia: A heavyweight champion of the world for three and a half years (November 1986-February 1990), boxer Mike Tyson also earned a historical footnote as the youngest individual ever to win, and lose, the said title in his chosen sport. Both during and after his heavyweight tenure in the ring, Tyson also courted an overwhelming amount of controversy for his reported anti-social behavior, which included raping a beauty pageant contestant in an Indianapolis hotel room (an act for which he received six years in prison, later commuted to three) and biting off a piece of fighter Evander Holyfield's ear, mid-fight (an act that DQ'd him from that particular match and sent the media into a tailspin). For the most part, Tyson spent his early years on-camera in projects exclusively related to boxing, but following his release from prison, he became acquainted with director James Toback (Fingers), and that marked the beginning of a long friendship that witnessed the men frequently working together. Their collaborations commenced with the improvisational, racially themed 1998 drama Black on White (in which Tyson makes an extended cameo and receives a very blatant pass from a gay character played by Robert Downey, Jr.), the erotic drama When Will I Be Loved? (2004), and, ultimately, the documentary portrait Tyson (2008), which Toback put together from over 30 hours of interviews with the then-retired boxer. Aside from the Toback projects, Tyson's résumé also includes small roles in the 2000 boxing comedy Play It to the Bone and the 2006 boxing drama Rocky Balboa.
Hal Fishman (Actor) .. Himself
Born: August 25, 1931
Died: August 07, 2007
Trivia: Roundly hailed as one of the most preeminent news anchors in Los Angeles, Hal Fishman spent over 47 years in broadcasting, including 42 at the same station -- KTLA. In fact, at the time of Fishman's death in early August 2007, he claimed the longest anchoring tenure of any individual in the history of broadcast television. Ironically, Fishman began his career in another field altogether, that of university education. He taught political science at Cal State for several years before graduating to KCOP in 1960, and later to KTLA at the behest of the station's then owner, Gene Autry. From that chair, Fishman made a number of historic broadcasts, including the one that brought the infamous Rodney King incident to the world's eyes and ears. Fishman died at age 75 of liver and colon cancer. Outside of Fishman's news work, he was also a pioneer aviator who set many speed and altitude records.

Trivia: Lithe, attractive supporting film and television player Clare Carey exhibited a tremendous versatility that enabled her to portray either romantic heroines or suburban wife-and-mother types with equal effectiveness. She began her career stint in front of the cameras in exploitation-type outings, including Zombie High (1987) and Waxwork (1988), then moved into telemovies (Obsessed, 1992) and occasional television pilots (Them, 1996). By the following decade, however, Carey began to turn up in A-list Hollywood features, notably including the 2007 action yarn Smokin' Aces. Carey also essayed one of the leads in the direct-to-video sequel Home Alone 4: Taking Back the House (2002); she played Kate McAllister, Kevin McAllister's mother (a role inherited from Catherine O'Hara).

Rick Gonzalez (Actor) .. Gang Banger
Born: June 30, 1979
Birthplace: New York, New York, United States
Trivia: With a countenance that seemed to express street-smart grit, Hispanic-American actor Rick Gonzalez might have easily fallen into the trap of playing toughs time and again, as did many of his contemporaries. With an exception here and there, Gonzalez defied these expectations in the first several years of his career, racking up small roles in laudably unpredictable projects such as the wonderful Disney sports drama The Rookie (2002), the dance-themed comedy drama Roll Bounce (2005), and the Christopher Guest mockumentary For Your Consideration (as "Chillaxin' Host"). Born in Manhattan, Gonzalez reportedly sought out stardom from a very tender age, and made his cinematic debut in 1999, with a bit part in the movie Mambo Café. A steady stream of supporting turns followed over the next several years, with an average of two or three per year; Gonzalez hit a high point when he played the womanizing Primo in the coming-of-age drama Biker Boyz, starring Larry Fishburne and Luke Wilson. Gonzalez teamed with Steven Spielberg for a supporting role in the helmer's colossal sci-fi opus War of the Worlds (2005), and shifted gears slightly -- to the thriller genre -- for the movies Pulse and Illegal Tender. The latter gave Gonzalez his first major lead; in that film, he played a Latino man fleeing from thugs who murdered his dad.On television, the actor first made viewers take notice when he played a student with a troubled family life on the David E. Kelley series Boston Legal. He went on to make one-episode appearances in such popular shows as ER, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and The Shield, but it wasn't until 2007's Reaper that he scored a regular small-screen role. On that quirky comedy drama, Gonzalez played slacker Ben, a friend of lead character and supernatural bounty hunter Sam Oliver (Bret Harrison).

Hammond's most visible screen role was as Friedrich von Trapp in the 1965 megahit The Sound of Music. After making the transition from juvenile to young leading man, he spent several seasons in daytime soaps. In 1978, a pumped-up Nicholas Hammond starred in the brief weekly TV adaptation of The Amazing Spider-Man.
