Began her career in acting, appearing in Dangerfield, Brookside and Holby City through the 1990s and early 2000s Was voted one of FHM's "100 Sexiest Women in the World" six times between 1999 and 2004. Her role in Spooks sparked controversy when her character was gruesomely killed in just the second episode, causing the BBC to receive a high number of complaints. Suffered an ectopic pregnancy and underwent three unsuccessful rounds of IVF in the early years of her marriage. Appeared on Celebrity Masterchef in 2010, winning the competition. Faulkner used the competition as a springboard for a career in cooking, becoming a celebrity chef in the following years. Released a cookery book, Recipes From My Mother For My Daughter, in 2012. Has narrated the BBC1 programme, Heir Hunters, since 2008. Teaches drama at Amanda Redman's Artists Theatre School. Her second book, The Way I Cook, was published in September 2013, and her third, Tea and Cake, in February 2015.
