Shemar Moore (Actor)
Born: April 20, 1970
Birthplace: Oakland, CA
Trivia: California-born Shemar Moore parlayed a successful modeling stint into an acting career that began in 1994 with a lead role on the soap opera The Young and the Restless. Moore played Malcolm Winters for eight years, and earned a Daytime Emmy for his performance in 2000. After leaving The Young and the Restless, Moore landed a role on the short-lived WB superhero series Birds of Prey. A prominent supporting role in the surprise hit Diary of a Mad Black Woman followed in 2005, and that same year, he was cast on the CBS drama Criminal Minds alongside Mandy Patinkin and Thomas Gibson. In 2007, Moore made headlines in the gossip rags for a DUI arrest. He would go on to star on the proceedural Criminal Minds.
Christopher Gorham (Actor)
Born: August 14, 1974
Birthplace: Fresno, California, United States
Trivia: Roles in such popular small-screen series as Party of Five, Popular, and Felicity have made actor Christopher Gorham a familiar face to television viewers, and with the premiere of his sci-fi drama Jake 2.0 in 2003, it seems as though the burgeoning actor may have finally come into his own in the competitive realm of prime-time television. Born to a certified public accountant and a school nurse in California, Gorham discovered his love of acting early on when he took home his school's Best Actor award for his portrayal of The Mad Hatter in a fourth grade production of Alice in Wonderland. Gorham advanced to Roger Rocka's Dinner Theater before enrolling in the Roosevelt School of the Arts, and it was there that he truly began to refine his skills on-stage. A B.A. in film and theater arts from U.C.L.A. was soon to follow, and shortly after college, Gorham began landing roles in television (Party of Five) and film (A Life Less Ordinary). After sticking to the small screen for Popular, Gorham took a supporting role in the 2000 feature Dean Quixote and the lead in the Mormon drama The Other Side of Heaven (2001). Of course it was only a matter of time before Gorham took the lead on the small screen as well, and following supporting performances in Felicity and Odyssey 5 he was heading the cast of the weekly sci-fi drama Jake 2.0. The story of a young man's journey from typical teen to superhuman hero debuted in September of 2003. He would continue to work on the small screen playing Henry, the love interest on Ugly Betty, and he had major parts in the 2010 indie comedy Answer This! And the 2011 thriller The Ledge.
Jerry O’Connell (Actor)
Born: February 17, 1974
Birthplace: New York, New York, United States
Trivia: Like Henry Thomas and a few others of the same generation, Jerry O'Connell proves that second acts are far from impossible for Hollywood actors who began their careers as children. O'Connell first gained recognition among film fans as "that fat kid from Stand By Me," when he starred in the 1986 Rob Reiner film at the age of eleven - then experienced a massive physical transformation. Several years and many lost pounds later, O'Connell emerged as a tall, handsome screen lothario, a development that provoked substantial commentary from both film critics and any number of lay viewers.Born in New York City on February 17, 1974, O'Connell enrolled in acting classes at the age of six. He obtained his first professional assignments acting in commercials when he was ten, and a year later made his film debut in the critically acclaimed Stand By Me. Though somewhat overshadowed by the presence of teen idol co-stars River Phoenix and Corey Feldman, O'Connell still managed to win a place in the coming-of-age pantheon. After Stand By Me, he appeared in the memorable syndicated television series My Secret Identity (as a high schooler with superpowers) and enrolled at Manhattan's Professional Children's School. Following his graduation, he attended New York University, where he attained a B.A. in Film and Television in 1995. While still an NYU student, O'Connell appeared in the eminently forgettable Jason Priestley vehicle Calendar Girl (1993).After his college graduation, O'Connell began to pursue thesping full-time. He soon landed a starring role on the sci-fi series Sliders, which, despite low ratings, had a very loyal viewership. In 1996, the actor's popularity grew beyond the confines of television when he starred in both Joe's Apartment and Jerry Maguire. The latter film was a particular success, and O'Connell began to land steady film assignments once again. Next up was the slasher movie Scream 2 (1997), in which he played Neve Campbell's boyfriend. After an uncredited role in the Jennifer Love Hewitt vehicle Can't Hardly Wait (1998), O'Connell returned to television to star as a young Vietnam War soldier in the miniseries The '60s in 1999. That same year, he starred as a neanderthal-like jock in Body Shots, a film about the search for love and/or a lay amongst a group of Los Angeles twentysomethings. At this point, if O'Connell still carried a full resume, he often seemed to alternate between respectable A-list material - such as the disappointing but ambitious Brian De Palma sci-fi'er Mission to Mars (2000) and the generally pleasant family comedy Yours, Mine and Ours (2005) - and ridiculous studio dreck, such as the misogynistic sex comedy Tomcats (2001) and the awful 2002 "family" picture Kangaroo Jack (where the actor co-starred alongside a wisecracking CG-animated marsupial). In fall 2007, O'Connell trekked back to the small screen for one of the three lead roles in the sitcom Carpoolers - about a cadre of male buddies who share rides to and from work each day. O'Connell would spend the next few years appearing in movies like Obsessed and Piranha, in addition to successful TV runs like Do Not Disturb and The Defenders.O'Connell married supermodel and actress Rebecca Romijn in 2007. The two have two children.
Roger Cross (Actor)
Born: October 19, 1966
Birthplace: Christiana, Jamaica
Trivia: His family moved from Jamaica to Vancouver when he was 11. His first airplane flight at age 11 inspired him to become a pilot. Acted in church and school plays, but never considered doing it professionally until after college, while waiting for a pilot job to open up. Worked as a stuntman on 21 Jump Street.
Rosario Dawson (Actor)
Born: May 09, 1979
Birthplace: New York City, New York, United States
Trivia: New York-born and bred actress Rosario Dawson made her screen debut in Larry Clark's controversial Kids (1995). Literally picked off the street to play Ruby, one of the film's titular teens, Dawson -- who is of Puerto Rican, Cuban, Black, Irish, and Native American heritage -- had never acted before being cast in the film. Following Kids, she next appeared in Spike Lee's He Got Game (1998) and that same year starred in Side Streets, a series of vignettes about life in New York's five boroughs. Faithful to her New York roots through and through, Dawson has continued to star in films set in her hometown, including Light It Up and Down to You.Soon, Dawson branched into mainstream film, appearing in populist projects like Josie and the Pussycats, Men in Black 2, The Rundown, and the big-screen adaptation of Rent. The actress would also appear in harder films, like Sin City and Death Proof, as well as damanding dramatic roles, like that of a rape victim struggling to recover in Descent.
Camilla Luddington (Actor)
Born: December 15, 1983
Birthplace: Ascot, Berkshire, England
Trivia: Began studying at the Italia Conti Academy in England at the age of 11. Only had one public interview of Kate Middleton to use for research when she played the character in William & Kate. Joined Grey's Anatomy as a recurring guest star in season 9; she was promoted to a series regular the following year. In 2013, became the voice and motion capture artist for Lara Croft in the video game reboot of Tomb Raider.
Jason O'Mara (Actor)
Born: August 06, 1972
Birthplace: Dublin, Ireland
Trivia: An Irish actor, born and raised in Dublin, Jason O'Mara turned out more prolific television appearances (in guest spots and supporting turns) than almost any of his contemporaries. Among other assignments, he landed roles on Band of Brothers, Criminal Minds, Men in Trees, and Grey's Anatomy, then rose to broader acclaim as one of the leads, ex-cop turned legal assist Charles Conti, on the popular law drama series In Justice (2006). In 2007, O'Mara tackled a supporting role opposite Milla Jovovich and Ashanti in the gruesome video game adaptation Resident Evil: Extinction. But it was on the small screen that O'Mara really seemed to shine, and after traveling back to the 1970s as the lead in the shortlived police detective series Life on Mars, the increasingly prolific actor ventured even further back in time -- 85 million years to be exact -- with his family to start a prehistoric human civilization in the FOX series Terra Nova. That show, too, was cancelled before it had the chance to gain a loyal following, though O'Mara quickly bounced back with a featured role in the 2012 Katherine Heigl romantic action comedy One for the Money, which found the actor cast as a fugitive cop being pursued by his gorgeous ex -- now a tenacious bounty hunter. He is not to be confused with the Philadelphia-based jazz musician with the same name.
Matt Ryan (Actor)
Sachie Alessio (Actor)
Stuart Allan (Actor)
Rainn Wilson (Actor)
Born: January 20, 1968
Birthplace: Seattle, Washington, United States
Trivia: Born January 26th, 1966, Rainn Wilson is best known for playing über-nerd Dwight Schrute on the NBC comedy The Office, actor Rainn Wilson parlayed a Broadway career into screen work that began with a role on the daytime soap One Life to Live. Bit parts in features such as Galaxy Quest and Almost Famous soon followed before Wilson landed the part of apprentice mortician Arthur on HBO's Six Feet Under during the show's third season. After Six Feet Under bowed in 2005, Wilson was cast in his most prominent role to date, the aforementioned Dwight Schrute, the resident oddball on the critically acclaimed U.S. version of The Office. Wilson so embraced the part that he even personally penned a weblog by the character on the NBC website. In 2006, Wilson was the fourth lead in Ivan Reitman's fantasy romantic comedy My Super Ex-Girlfriend, and a year later he scored his first starring feature role in the children's sci-fi adventure The Last Mimzy.
