World Cup Art, New Jersey Folk Festival & More
During the World Cup, fans in New Jersey and New York were met with giant soccer balls created by artists. One of these, created by Jersey City artist Nyugen Smith, honors the tradition of hand-made soccer balls crafted in communities where factory-made balls are a rarity. In Newe Brunswick, the New Jersey Folk Festival has been going strong since 1975. State of the Arts visits the day-long, multi-stage celebration, and meets some of the area?s most accomplished traditional musicians. Plus more.
