When Summer's mother Vivian moves in with her and her young daughter Chloe, her orderly existence is upended. Upon arrival, Vivian sets up an heirloom, miniature Christmas village resembling their town, and tells Chloe it grants Christmas wishes. As Chloe begins setting up the figurines, real-life events seem to mimic the scenes she creates. With a little help from the magic of the Christmas village, the family will be brought closer together and just maybe.

Maesa Nicholson (Actor)
Alison Sweeney (Actor)
Born: September 19, 1976
Birthplace: Los Angeles, California, United States
Trivia: Pretty and vivacious Alison Sweeney evinced an unmistakable onscreen presence in her first ongoing role, as Sami Brady, daughter of Marlena Evans, on the long, long-running daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives. Working with series producers and writers, Sweeney helped evolve the character from a wayward adolescent to a loving and responsible single mom. Sweeney maintained the role for well over a decade and a half (from 1993 onward). Meanwhile, she earned fame and recognition in another arena, taking advantage of the reality television trend that swept 2000s television by appearing on several related series. These included competitive shows -- such as Fear Factor, Celebrity Poker, and The Weakest Link (where Sweeney nearly broke the bank) -- and, more visibly, a hostess assignment in season four of The Biggest Loser, competition between numerous contestants vying to lose the most weight. Sweeney's resumé also includes guest appearances on such series programs as Webster, I Married Dora, Friends, and Las Vegas.
Luke Macfarlane (Actor)
Born: January 19, 1980
Birthplace: London, Ontario, Canada
Trivia: Canadian-born actor and musician Luke MacFarlane studied his craft at Juilliard in New York before graduating in 2003 to pursue a professional acting career. He soon cultivated a successful career on-stage, playing a leading role in the Playwrights Horizons Theater production of Juvenilia in 2003, and the 2004 Vineyard Theatre production of Where Do We Live. He also made forays into film, appearing in movies like 2004's Kinsey and 2005's Over There. In 2006, he joined the cast of the series Brothers & Sisters playing Scotty Wandell.
Marlo Thomas (Actor)
Born: November 21, 1937
Birthplace: Detroit, Michigan, United States
Trivia: Anyone who watched the old TV sitcom Make Room for Daddy will remember that it was produced by a company called Marterto. This corporate name was an amalgam of the names of Danny Thomas' children: Margaret, Terry, and Tony. By 1959, Margaret Thomas had undergone a little cosmetic surgery, changed her name to Marlo Thomas, and launched an acting career on stage and TV. After guest starring in dozens of programs, she starred in her own series, That Girl, in which she played an aspiring actress with a benevolent despot of a father (where did that concept come from?). That Girl ran from 1966 through 1970, after which Thomas concentrated on Broadway appearances and occasional films like Thieves (1971). Extremely active in social and political causes during the next two decades, Thomas nonetheless found time to star in several made-for-TV movies and also co-produce the Emmy-winning children's TV special Free to Be...You and Me. She won additional Emmys for producing the 1988 follow-up Free to Be...a Family; for hosting the 1980 special The Body Human: Facts for Girls; and for her outstanding dramatic performance as an institutionalized mental patient in the TV film Nobody's Child (1986). Long a marital holdout, Marlo Thomas closed out the 1970s by walking down the aisle with talk-show host Phil Donahue. She continued to appear intermittently on the big and small screens over the next thirty years on a variety of projects including Consenting Adults, Reunion, Friends, Deuce Bigelow: Male Gigolo, Ally McBeal, In the Woods, and LOL.
