June Whitfield (Actor) .. Nelly

Trivia: Trained at London's prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, June Whitfield landed her first professional roles on the London stage and became one of Great Britain's most respected comedy actresses. After establishing herself in theater, Whitfield gained further acclaim for appearing opposite Jimmy Edwards and Dick Bently in the classic radio series Take It From Here. She has become one of BBC Radio's most enduring and beloved radio performers; she can be heard reading The News Huddlines, something she has been doing since the 1950s. Despite her radio work, Whitfield is best known on television, where she appeared opposite her longtime professional partner Terry Scott in the popular sitcom Happily Ever After, which ran for a decade and was later renamed Terry and June. She also worked with comedians like Ronnie Barker and Dick Emery. Whitfield began her sporadic film career in Carry On Nurse (1959); she would continue appearing in the venerable Carry On series for many years. Her other film credits include The Spy With a Cold Nose (1966) and Jude (1996). For her many years in the entertainment industry, June Whitfield received the British Comedy Award for Lifetime Achievement in 1994.

Burt Kwouk (Actor) .. Entwistle
Born: July 18, 1930
Died: May 24, 2016
Birthplace: Manchester, England, United Kingdom
Trivia: Born in England and raised in Shanghai, actor Burt Kwouk can best be described as a funnier variation of Bruce Lee. To be sure, many of his acting assignments have called for straight interpretations, notably his roles in such films Satan Never Sleeps (1961) and The Brides of Fu Manchu (1965). But Kwouk is best known for his role as karate champ Cato Fong, right-hand man of the hapless Inspector Clouseau (Peter Sellers). Trained by his boss to attack without warning (the better to keep Clouseau on guard and in shape), Cato has invariably done his job too well, kicking and chopping at the Inspector at the most inopportune times -- when Clouseau is making love, for example. As Cato, Bert Kwouk has appeared in the Blake Edwards-directed Clouseau films A Shot in the Dark (1964), Return of the Pink Panther (1975), The Pink Panther Strikes Again (1978) and Revenge of the Pink Panther (1979), and has guest-starred in two pastiche films made after Peter Sellers' death, Curse of the Pink Panther (1981) and Trail of the Pink Panther (1982). Outside the aegis of Blake Edwards, Kwouk has taken action-oriented parts in films like Rollerball (1980) and Air America (1990). For several years in the '80s, Kwouk played a Japanese commandant on the British TV series Tenko. Kwouk continued to work steadily through the 2010s, including a recurring role on Last of the Summer Wine. He died in 2016, at age 85.
Kathy Staff (Actor) .. Nora

Birthplace: Dukinfield, Cheshire, United Kingdom
Jane Freeman (Actor) .. Ivy
Born: March 15, 1921
Died: March 09, 2017
Birthplace: Brentford, London, United Kingdom
Shirley Anne Field (Actor) .. Eva
Born: June 27, 1938
Trivia: A model and (briefly) repertory actress, London-born Shirley Anne Field was featured as the first of a steady stream of sweet ingenues in 1955's Simon and Laura. Thereafter, Field became one of busiest young actresses in the British film industry, with meaty roles in such films as Upstairs and Downstairs (1959), Peeping Tom (1960) and These Are the Damned (1960). Her screen image was demure to the point of dullness, a quality cleverly exploited in the 1960 film Saturday Night and Sunday Morning, wherein with deceptive guilessness she traps Albert Finney into a loveless marriage. By the time Field appeared in Alfie (1966), her acting skills had sharpened but her popularity was on the wane. After several years on stage and in TV, Field returned to films as a character actress in 1977; her last film to date was 1991's Hear My Song. An occasional visitor to American shores, Shirley Anne Field appeared in 1984 on the NBC daytime drama Santa Barbara, playing the role of Pamela Capwell until other commitments obliged her to relinquish the part to Marj Dusay.
