Josh Charles (Actor) .. Dr. Martin Best
Born: September 15, 1971
Birthplace: Baltimore, Maryland, United States
Trivia: Endowed with the kind of dark, puppy-eyed, lanky looks that have often gotten him cast as sensitive, shy young men, actor Josh Charles first became known to audiences as sensitive, shy prep school boy Knox Overstreet in Dead Poets Society (1989). A native of Baltimore, where he was born September 15, 1971, Charles made his entrance into acting through stand-up comedy, which he began performing at the age of eight. He made his film debut in fellow-native son John Waters' Hairspray (1988), and following the success of Dead Poets Society the next year, earned a reputation as a member of the '90s version of the Brat Pack.Charles' subsequent film appearances were sporadic and in projects of wildly varying quality; ranking among his better-known work are Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead (1991), Threesome (1994), and the made-for-television Norma Jean and Marilyn (1996). In 1998, Charles was cast as one of the leads in the highly acclaimed TV show Sports Night, a sitcom revolving around the goings-on of a late night cable sports news program. Though Sports Night did indeed gain positive critical notice and a loyal fanbase for its smart writing and multi-dimensional characters, it was unfortunately cancelled before it really had a chance to fully develope. Hollywood did however take notice of Charles' talents as an actor, and the quality and substance of the roles he was being offered slowly began to rise. Following a pair of low-key roles in such indie dramas as Meeting Daddy (2000) and Our America (2002), Charles was cast in the high-profile action thriller S.W.A.T. Over the next several years, Charles would remain active on screen, appearing on TV series like In Treatment and The Good Wife and films like The Ex and Weakness.
Josh Segarra (Actor) .. Sheriff Mark Mylow
Born: June 03, 1986
Birthplace: Orlando, Florida, United States
Trivia: Parents moved from Puerto Rico to the United States and opened a pharmacy. Learned to sing at his Latino Pentecostal church. Dreamed of becoming a professional wrestler for the WWE growing up. Was the lead singer of an a capella group, Top Notch, in high school and went on to become a featured rapper for N'Harmonics, NYU's a capella group. Made Broadway debut in Lysistrata Jones, a basketball-themed musical comedy, in 2011. Originated the role of Emilio Estefan in On Your Feet!, a Broadway musical about the life of Gloria and Emilio Estefan, in 2016.
Annie Potts (Actor) .. Aunt Sarah
Born: October 28, 1952
Birthplace: Nashville, Tennessee, United States
Trivia: Involved in amateur theatricals since childhood, Annie Potts received her BFA in theatre arts from Missouri's Stephens College. Potts has been seen in comic supporting roles in films since 1978; she is most closely associated with the part of ditzy secretary Janine Melnitz in the two Ghostbusters flicks of the 1980s. On television, Potts has played Edith Bedelmeyer on the one-season sitcom Goodtime Girls (1980), then enjoyed a longer run as Mary Jo Shively on Designing Women (1986-93). Her characterization of outspoken gourmet chef Dana Paladino on the prime time sitcom Love and War won Annie an Emmy nomination in 1994. Annie Potts has also been featured in a popular series of commercials for a well-known corn-chip product, and has served as national spokesperson for the Women for Arthritis Foundation. In 1996 she was cast as a no-nonsense schoolteacher of troubled inner-city high schoolers in the ABC-TV show Dangerous Minds, a series based on the 1995 Michelle Pfeiffer film of the same name. She voiced the part of Bo Peep in the first two Toy Story films, and in 2003 she took part in a Designing Women reunion. That same year she was the lead in Defending Our Kids: The Julie Posey Story. She appeared intermittently on the Showtime series Huff, and in 2007 she joined the cast of the short-lived series Men In Trees. In 2012 she was cast as one of the leads in the new TV series GCB.
Cree (Actor) .. Elaine Denton
Stephen Spinella (Actor) .. Greg Garrison
Born: October 11, 1956
Birthplace: Naples, Italy
Trivia: Actor Stephen Spinella grew up in sunny Glendale, AZ, and fell in love with theater by witnessing a performance in a high school play. In an effort to realize his life's calling, the blossoming thespian moved to Manhattan in 1979 and sustained himself for years with a lengthy series of odd jobs while tackling theatrical roles in off-Broadway and regional productions. Spinella finally broke through to widespread acclaim in the early '90s, via a shattering performance as the AIDS-stricken Prior Walter in a two-play series by Tony Kushner: Angels in America Part I: The Milennium Approaches, and Angels in America Part II: Perestroika. For the dazzling evocation, Spinella won two consecutive Tony Awards for Best Actor: one in 1993 and another in 1994. That, in turn, opened the floodgates to a lengthy series of film roles, with the openly homosexual Spinella frequently gravitating (though not always) to gay-themed material onscreen. Contributions in this arena included a substantial role in HBO's groundbreaking miniseries And the Band Played On (1993); the seriocomedy Love! Valour! Compassion! (1997), adapted for the big screen from Terrence McNally's popular play; and Gus Van Sant's Harvey Milk biopic Milk (2008) as attorney Rick Stokes. Additional features to showcase Spinella's talents include Virtuosity (1995), Great Expectations (1998), and House of D; he is best known to many, however, as Miles on the fifth season of the small-screen thriller 24.
