Trivia: A stuntwoman-turned-action star, New Zealander Zoe Bell established herself by standing in for A-list actresses on some of filmdom's most dangerous and intimidating stunts. Bell achieved her first major career coup in her native country, by doubling for Lucy Lawless on the hit fantasy-action series Xena: Warrior Princess, and accompanied that with additional stunt work on small-screen programs including The Chosen, Shortland Street, and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. Bell subsequently moved to Hollywood and commenced a multi-film collaboration with Quentin Tarantino that included the pictures Kill Bill Vol. 1 (2003), Kill Bill Vol. 2 (2004), and Tarantino's Death Proof segment of the omnibus Grindhouse (2007), before signing to headline her own action feature in 2008. Aside from her Tarantino collaborations, Bell's Hollywood resumé also includes such pictures as Catwoman (2004) and Poseidon (2006). The documentary Double Dare (2003) provided biographical portraits of Bell and fellow stuntwoman Jeannie Epper.

Trivia: Jake Abel began signing for television and film roles in his late teens. Despite a deceptively clean-cut appearance, Abel specialized (at least initially) in portrayals of super-intense, conniving, slimy young men with more than a few ulterior motives. He was particularly memorable on the short-lived, prime-time science fiction drama Threshold (as a deeply disturbed adolescent whose exposure to an audio signal gave him super strength) and as a slightly sadistic coach who gets the surprise of his life when he challenges a young female figure skater to a game of hockey in the Disney-produced feature Go Figure (2005). In 2007, Abel signed for two of his first major feature roles: one in the raunchy stoner comedy Strange Wilderness (2008) and a much different supporting turn as the son of an inventor (Greg Kinnear) who gets bilked out of a fortune by the auto industry in the biopic Flash of Genius (2008). In 2010, he played the supporting role of Luke Castellan in Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief, later reprising his role in the 2013 sequel, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters. Trivia: A native of Boston, MA, who grew up in Florida and Connecticut, actress Vail Bloom attended Ivy League Princeton University as an architecture major, but caught the acting bug when a friend invited her to essay a role in a short-subject film. Bloom landed her first major industry role with a part as a harried casting assistant in the 2007 comedy Finishing the Game, then signed for an ongoing portrayal of Assistant District Attorney Heather Stevens on the CBS daytime soap opera The Young and the Restless.

Trivia: Best known for her role as the fearsome Xena: Warrior Princess in the long-running series of the same name, athletic worldly beauty Lucy Lawless didn't achieve the fame in her native New Zealand that flooded her in the U.S. until much later in her career, due to the fact that the wildly popular adventure series didn't air there until long after it was a staple of American television.Born into water at her home in Mount Albert, Aukland, New Zealand, in 1968 to the mayor of that city, Lawless began acting early and frequently appeared in school plays in her youth. A active child of diverse interests and with many siblings, Lawless went on to study German, French, and Italian at Aukland University for a year before traveling through Europe with boyfriend and eventual first husband Garth. They worked odd jobs to finance their trip and eventually ending up in Australia. Working in a gold-mining camp in Kalgoorlie to finance the final leg of their journey, the couple was married in Australia in 1988 and soon returned home to bear a daughter.Crowned Mrs. New Zealand the following year, the busy new mother got her first acting experience in Funny Business, a popular TV comedy troupe. Studying acting in Vancouver, Canada, at the William Davis Center for Actors Study, Lawless soon landed small roles in films (The End of Golden Weather [1991]) and television (For the Love of Mike [1991]), with her next regular job as of co-host on television's Air New Zealand Holiday.
