Performed with Canada's Royal Academy of Dance for 12 years before an ankle injury forced her to give up dance. Turned to hockey after dance and became a goalie for the Leaside Wildcats in Toronto; won the Toronto City Championships in 2002. First acting job was in a cereal commercial; later landed the role of Bess Lawrence on Little Men. Big break in acting came in 2002 at age 16 when she was cast as Dinah Lance (aka Black Canary) on Birds of Prey. Took a break from acting from 2003 to 2008 to concentrate on her education and backpack through western Europe. Appeared in recurring roles on Flashpoint, The Listener and Lost Girl. Uttered the famous line "Mr. Grey will see you now," as Andrea, Grey's personal assistant in Fifty Shades of Grey. Appears as Queen Elizabeth on Reign. Favorite author is C.S. Lewis; has read The Chronicles of Narnia series roughly 20 times. Hobbies include drawing and playing the cello. Is fluent in Norwegian.
