This adaptation of Stephen King's novel is about Andy, a loving father who's guiding his daughter Charlie to control and subdue her psychic ability known as pyrokinesis, wherein she can start fires through her mind. But this power is also a liability as her family continues to hide and evade government forces bent on capturing and examining Charlie and her abilities.

Actor Zac Efron's career began when he was just 11 years old, when his parents took note of his tremendous singing talent. They let him audition for a production of Gypsy, and he won a small role in a production that would run for 90 performances. He would eventually graduate to on-screen acting, scoring a recurring role on the hit series Summerland in 2004. Although Gloria Reuben's breakthrough may have come with her role as health care professional Jeanie Boulet on television's E.R., the actress voted one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world has been acting and singing since childhood, appearing on the small screen since the mid-'80s and in film from the early '90s.Born in Toronto in June of 1964, Reuben was inspired early on by her mother, an accomplished singer who encouraged her daughter to pursue her creative endeavors. Beginning with piano lessons and soon graduating to music technique and theory as well as jazz and ballet at the Canadian Royal Conservatory. Later on, Reuben began modeling. Following appearances in print and on television, the aspiring actress began to make appearances on such television series as The Flash and Silk Stalkings. Appearing frequently on made-for-television movies, she began appearing in such features as The Waiter (1993) and Timecop (1994) and then joined the cast of E.R. in 1995. Her role as an HIV-positive health care professional struggling to maintain dignity in her profession in the face of tragedy earned the actress an Emmy nomination, and her career continued to pick up pace in the late '90s in both features and television. With high billing on the made-for-television movie The Agency in 2001 as well as the series that followed, it appeared as if Gloria Rueben's star was burning bright into the new millennium.
