Jack Weston (Actor) .. Charlie
Born: August 21, 1924
Died: April 03, 1996
Trivia: Born Jack Weinstein, he began training for the stage at the Cleveland Playhouse at age ten. Weston dropped out of school at 15, working occasionally as a stage actor before serving in World War Two; during the war he often performed with the USO. At war's end he moved to New York and studied at the American Theater Wing, meanwhile working in odd jobs. In 1950 he began getting featured roles on Broadway and TV, then entered movies in 1958; with intermittent breaks, he remained busy in films throughout the next three decades. In the mid '70s he gained new popularity as the star of Neil Simon's play California Suite. He married actress Marge Redmond.
Jan Handzlik (Actor) .. Tommy
Born: September 21, 1945
Barry Atwater (Actor) .. Goodman
Born: May 16, 1918
Died: May 24, 1978
Trivia: American actor Barry Atwater was tall enough but not handsome enough to be a leading man, so his film and TV career found him playing villains, authority figures and medical men. A stage and TV veteran, Atwater's first film appearance was in Hitchcock's The Wrong Man (1956) though you'd never know it from the opening credits. Longtime fans of the ABC daytime drama General Hospital will recall Atwater's performances as Dr. John Prentice, who married nurse Jessie Brewer (Emily McLaughlin) and later was unceremoniously murdered. Barry Atwater's most spectacular acting assignment was as Janos Skorzeny, the modern-day vampire terrorizing Las Vegas in the classic made-for-TV chiller The Night Stalker (1956).
Burt Metcalfe (Actor) .. Don
Born: March 19, 1935
Birthplace: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada
Claude Akins (Actor) .. Steve Brand
Born: May 25, 1926
Died: January 27, 1994
Trivia: Trained at Northwestern University's drama department, onetime salesman Claude Akins was a Broadway actor when he was selected by a Columbia talent scout for a small role in the Oscar-winning From Here to Eternity (1953). With a craggy face and blunt voice that evoked memories of Lon Chaney Jr., Akins was a "natural" for villainous or roughneck roles, but was versatile enough to play parts requiring compassion and humor. A television actor since the "live" days, Akins achieved stardom relatively late in life via such genial adventure series as Movin' On (1974), B.J. and the Bear (1979), The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo (1979) and Legmen (1984). In his last decade, Claude Akins was a busy-and most genial-commercial spokesperson.

Born: January 10, 1919
Sheldon Allman (Actor) .. First Alien
Born: June 08, 1924
Died: January 21, 2001
Trivia: Noted for his quirky cartoon compositions for such Saturday morning fare as George of the Jungle and Super Chicken in addition to providing the singing voice for television's perennial four-legged superstar Mr. Ed, singer/songwriter/actor Sheldon Allman was also a much sought after character actor who turned in memorable performances in such films as Hud (1963) and Dirty Harry (1971). Born in Chicago, IL, and raised in Canada, Allman received his education at the Los Angeles Conservatory of Music before kicking off a singing career with the Royal National Guard during World War II. Rising to fame with such tunes as "A Quiet Kind of Love" and "Patapan," Allman kept busy in front of the cameras with roles in both television and film. With over 150 acting credits to his name, Allman appeared on film in All the President's Men (1976) and In Cold Blood (1967), and on the small screen in The Twilight Zone and Batman. On January 22, 2002, Sheldon Allman died of heart failure in Culver City, CA. He was 77.
