Omar Chaparro (Actor)
Martha Higareda (Actor)
Born: August 24, 1983
Birthplace: Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico
Trivia: Performer Martha Higareda launched her screen career with a series of roles in Mexican productions, including Amar te Duele (2002), Las Calles del D.F. (2006), and Así del Precipicio (2006). Higareda broke through to international acclaim with several plum assignments that cropped up within a three-year span. She first landed the lead female role in Fernando Kalife's ensemble drama 7 Days (2005), then tackled a key supporting part in Javier Patron's atmospheric family drama Beyond Heaven (2006), and next signed for a lead as a scream queen in Zev Berman's Borderland (2007) -- an occult horror outing about a series of grisly murders that plagued a northern Mexican town in early 1989.
Aarón Díaz (Actor)
Born: March 07, 1982
Birthplace: Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Trivia: Dark-haired heartthrob Aarón Díaz may have been born in Puerto Vallarta, but his light hazel eyes and David Beckham-y cheekbones come courtesy of his Irish-American mother. After a childhood spent shuttling between San Miguel Allende, Mexico and Palo Alto, California, it makes sense that his first ambition was to go into tourism. However, a stint at Televisa's famous talent-grooming institute Center for Arts Education opened the way for a part in the telenovela Clase 406, which quickly led to more roles in Corazones Al Límite, Barrera De Amor, Lola: Érase Una Vez, and Teresa, as well as starring as Danny in a stage production of Vaselina, the Spanish-language version of the musical Grease. His filmography includes Amor Xtremo, Marcelo and Dinoshark, and his English-language roles include an appearance as a wealthy Latin businessman on ABC's Pan Am. He was then cast on the telenovela El Talismán and worked on the Telemundo telenovela Tierra de Reyes, a sweeping ranch epic where experienced horseman Díaz gets to do all his own riding stunts.
Itatí Cantoral (Actor)
Born: May 13, 1975
Birthplace: Mexico City, Mexico
Trivia: Her father, Roberto Cantoral, was a famous and prolific Mexican songwriter. Made her TV debut at the age of 11 on the thriller series La telaraña. Has appeared on many telenovelas, beginning with La pícara soñadora and Muchachitas in 1991. Cohosted the Billboard Latin Music Awards in 2002. Dabbled in music, releasing the album Itati Cantoral—Canta a Roberto Cantoral in 2004. Her stage roles have included Sally Bowles in Cabaret at Mexico City's Teatro Insurgentes; and Annie Wilkes in a 2012 production of Misery (based on the Stephen King novel).
