Emile Hirsch
(Actor)
.. Sean
Born:
March 13, 1985
Birthplace: Topanga Canyon, California, United States
Trivia:
Emile Hirsch rose to prominence in 2002 with showy roles in two high-profile films: The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys and The Emperor's Club. Hirsch was born in Topanga Canyon, CA, on March 13, 1985. He made his television debut at the age of 11 in an episode of the series Kindred: The Embraced. After a number of small guest roles on Two of a Kind, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch and Third Rock From the Sun, Hirsch moved on to more dramatic roles with appearances of NYPD Blue and ER. He appeared in a pair of made-for-TV movies, Gargantua and Houdini (in the latter playing the famed magician Harry Houdini as a boy) before making his big-screen debut as pensive Catholic school student Francis in The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys, which earned the teenager a number of enthusiastic reviews. After appearing in the made-for-cable drama Wild Iris, Hirsch appeared as a bright but rebellious student in the Kevin Kline vehicle The Emperor's Club. Hirsch was praised for his roles in Imaginary Heroes (2004) and Lords of Dogtown (2005), though the films themselves received lukewarm reviews. His luck would change when he was cast as a young man who finds himself while hitchhiking America for 2007's Into the Wild. Based on the popular novel from Jon Krakauer, Sean Penn directed the film, which would earn Hirsch a Best Actor nom from the Broadcast Film Critics Association. Hirsch reunited with Penn to play a young gay rights activist in Milk, the multi-Academy Award winning biopic of politician and activist Harvey Milk. He lent his voice for X Games 3D: The Movie in 2009, and starred in Taking Woodstock (2009), a biopic chronicling a face-off between the owners of a small motel, and the organizers of the original Woodstock. He took a supporting role in Oliver Stone's 2012 film The Savages.
Olivia Thirlby
(Actor)
.. Natalie
Born:
October 06, 1986
Birthplace: New York, United States
Trivia:
Actress Olivia Thirlby accepted one of her earliest on-camera roles when she signed to work for director Paul Greengrass on his acclaimed docudrama United 93 -- and thereby delivered a haunting onscreen evocation of the late Nicole Carol Miller, 21-year-old college student and victim of one of the September 11th hijackings. Thirlby subsequently tackled supporting roles in such productions as David Gordon Green's explosive small-town drama Snow Angels (2007) and Jason Reitman's seriocomedy Juno (2007), then teamed up with Lili Taylor and X-Files stalwart David Duchovny for Vincent Perez's supernatural thriller The Secret (2007). The following year Thirlby made her stage debut in the 2008 off-Broadway production of Farragut North, and in 2009 she played the recurring role of Suzanne, Jonathan's ex-girlfriend, on HBO's Bored to Death. A supporting appearance in No Strongs Attached preceded a leading role in the sci-fi dud The Darkest Hour, and after lending her voice to David Gordon Green's animated comedy series Good Vibes, she landed the plum role of a young artist who upsets the delicate balance of a California household in the low-key drama Nobody Walks. But that was all talk, and Thirlby fans who craved a bit more action got exactly what they were looking for when she teamed with Karl Urban to battle a vicious gang of futuristic drug dealers in Dredd -- a feature adaptation of long-running comic strip that originated in the British science fiction comic 2000 A.D. (and was previously adapted for the screen in a 1995 Sylvester Stallone vehicle).
Max Minghella
(Actor)
.. Ben
Born:
September 16, 1985
Birthplace: Hampstead, London, England
Trivia:
Best known as the son of late director Anthony Minghella (The English Patient) and Chinese choreographer Carolyn Choa, Max Minghella began life in Hampstead, England, and opted to become an actor in his teens for reasons that were (as he later recalled) entirely unrelated to his father's business. He attended Columbia University beginning in the early 2000s, then moved into feature roles, first with a bit part in his dad's Civil War opus Cold Mountain (2003), then striking out on his own with parts in Hollywood features including Syriana (2005), Art School Confidential (2006), How to Lose Friends and Alienate People (2008), and Hippie Hippie Shake (2009). In the years to come, Minghella would appear in numerous major films, like The Social Network, The Ides of March, and The Darkest Hour. In 2013, he landed a recurring role on The Mindy Project.
Rachael Taylor
(Actor)
.. Anne
Born:
July 11, 1984
Birthplace: Launceston, Tasmania, Australia
Trivia:
Her name synonymous with gloss and glamour, the traffic-stopping Aussie import Rachael Taylor carried within her a natural on-camera presence. It therefore failed to surprise anyone when Taylor landed a consistent series of roles in Hollywood features, beginning in 2004. She took her initial bow in Sydney for legendary director Peter Bogdanovich, with a bit part in that helmer's fine 2004 telepic The Mystery of Natalie Wood, but failed to live up to this promise given her subsequent involvement in Tinseltown slasher films, such as the 2005 Man-Thing and the 2006 See No Evil. Taylor took several steps up the Hollywood ladder when recruited to appear in Michael Bay's live-action, summer 2007 blockbuster Transformers, as Maggie Madsen. In the years to come, Taylor would remain active on screen, appearing on shows like Grey's Anatomy and the reboot of Charlie's Angels.
