Mischa Barton (Actor) .. Rebecca Jones
Born: January 24, 1986
Birthplace: London, England
Trivia: Hailed as one of the most talented child actors of the 1990s, Mischa Barton had carved out the beginnings of an enviable career on the screen and stage by the time most kids her age were being allowed to see PG-13 movies on their own. Possessing blonde hair, blue eyes the color and approximate size of Wedgewood saucers, and precocious intelligence, Barton first came to the attention of critics and audiences as the ten-year-old heroine of John Duigan's Lawn Dogs (1997). Born January 24, 1986, in London, England, Barton was raised in the city until the age of four. Following the move, she began working as a child model and taking summer camp acting classes; after being spotted by a talent agent, the aspiring actress got her first professional break on the New York stage in 1994, when she played one of the lead characters in an off-Broadway production of Slavs!. Earning rave reviews for her performance, Barton went on to perform in a number of plays, including the Lincoln Center production of James Lapine's Twelve Dreams and Naomi Wallace's One Flea Spare at the New York Shakespeare Festival's Public Theatre, which cast her in the lead role of a street urchin opposite Dianne Wiest. While she was building a career on the stage and as a model for the likes of Calvin Klein, Barton was also beginning to accumulate a number of screen credits. After doing a year-long stint on the popular soap opera All My Children, she had her first publicized screen role in the little-seen New York Crossing (1996). A starring role as a 13-year-old who holds up a bank alongside her boyfriend followed in 1999, in the independent drama Pups. That same year, Barton appeared in supporting roles in both Notting Hill and M. Night Shyamalan's The Sixth Sense, the latter of which cast her as the ghost of a sickly girl.Barton's increasing recognition was subsequently reflected by her involvement in a number of screen projects. Included amongst them was Skipped Parts (2000) and the TV series Once and Again (2002). Barton's breakthrough would come in 2003 however, with a starring role in the phenomenally poular night-time soap The O.C. The show's three year run would make Barton a household name, and she would follow it up with appearances in films like Homecoming, Assassination of a High School President, and You and I. A critically lauded appearance in Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain would make waves for the actress in 2012, followed by the horror film Apartment 1303 3D.
Sean Faris (Actor) .. Matthew Jones
Born: March 25, 1982
Birthplace: Houston, Texas, United States
Trivia: Though he readily admits that people have commented on his similarity to Hollywood megastar Tom Cruise from the time he was just 12 years old, actor Sean Faris still insists that his high-school life couldn't be more different from that of his character on the critically lauded prime-time comedy drama Life as We Know It. On television playing the "cool kid" that every girl wants to hook up with is easy, but in real life, Faris claims that his high-school career wasn't nearly as glamorous. Unwilling to associate himself exclusively with any one particular clique, Faris instead opted to focus his time on enjoying the company of his friends -- no matter what rung of the social hierarchy they occupied. It was early work as a model instilled the Parma, OH, native with a certain amount of confidence before the cameras, but even into his early teens, Faris still had few concrete ideas about which career path best suited him. Of course it wasn't long before fate found the athletic but somewhat aimless teen cast in a local independent film at the age of 17, and Faris immediately realized that film was his true calling. By the time high-school graduation had come and gone and the obligatory wave of graduation parties had winded down, Faris had his bags already packed and made his way to Los Angeles. As the old proverb goes "timing is everything," and almost immediately after arriving in Hollywood, Faris was cast in a supporting role in director Michael Bay's Pearl Harbor. If the immediate success had gone to Faris' head just a bit, reality would soon sink in when the young hopeful was cast in such forgettable low-budget efforts as Twisted and The Brotherhood II: Young Warlocks. Following a few acting classes and some formal training, however, Faris was soon working his way back to the top with small-screen roles in MTV's Undressed and House Blend -- as well as brief supporting appearances in Smallville and Boston Public -- before making a return to A-list features as Alexa Vega's character's love interest in the 2004 teen comedy Sleepover. Later that same year, Faris made a splash on the small screen as one of a trio of tight-knit teens preoccupied with sex in Life As We Know It. In 2005 he joined the cast of Reunion, a television series from FOX chronicling the aftermath of a murder that took place during a high school reunion. Unfortunately, the show was cancelled after only nine episodes. He had similar luck throughout the late 2000s, much of which he spent working on a series of unremarkable films. He took on a starring role for the action thriller Stash House in 2012 and continues to be active in film and television.
Alyssa Diaz (Actor) .. Peggy Redmond
Born: September 07, 1985
Birthplace: Northridge, California, United States
Trivia: Is of Colombian and Mexican-American descent. As a kid she dreamed of becoming a dancer. Was introduced to acting in elementary school when a teacher asked her if she would rather take a cooking class or one in theater. Her first role was Huckleberry Finn. Big break came when she landed the role of Celia Ortega on the soap opera As the World Turns in 2005. Best known for her role as Jasmine on The Nine Lives of Chloe King and as Gloria on Army Wives. Is trained in martial arts and is a huge fan of Bruce Lee.
David Ogden Stiers (Actor) .. Ralph Wilson
Born: October 31, 1942
Died: March 03, 2018
Birthplace: Peoria, Illinois, United States
Trivia: In contrast to the insufferably intellectual characters he has played so often and so well, David Ogden Stiers wasn't much of a student while growing up in Eugene, Oregon. Like many another "underachiever," Stiers excelled at the things he was truly interested in, such as music (he played piano and french horn) and acting. After flunking out of the University of Oregon, Stiers stepped up his amateur-theatrical activities, and at age 20 was hired by the California Shakespeare Festival at Santa Clara, where he spent the next seven years performing the Classics. After briefly working with the famous San Francisco improv group The Committee, Stiers attended Juilliard, in hopes of improving his vocal delivery. Evidently his training paid off: in 1974, Stiers co-starred with Zero Mostel in the Broadway production Ulysses in Nighttown, then went on to appear opposite Doug Henning in the long-running musical The Magic Show. Despite his success, Stiers detested New York, and at the first opportunity he "ran screaming" back to the West Coast. He was cast in the short-lived sitcom Doc in 1975, and the following year played an important role in the 90-minute pilot for Charlie's Angels, though he passed when offered a regular assignment in the Angels series proper. Stiers' performance as a stuttering TV executive in a 1976 Mary Tyler Moore Show episode led to his being cast as the overbearing Major Charles Emerson Winchester on the ever-popular M*A*S*H; at first signed to a two-year contract, Stiers remained with the series until its final episode in February of 1983. Before, during and after his tenure on M*A*S*H, Stiers kept busy in made-for-TV films, lending his patented authoritativeness to such real-life characters as Dr. Charles Mayo (in 1977's A Love Affair: The Eleanor and Lou Gehrig Story), critic and social arbiter Cleveland Amory (1984's Anatomy of an Illness) and President Franklin D. Roosevelt (1987's J. Edgar Hoover). He was also seen as pontificating DA Michael Reston in several of the Perry Mason TV-movies of the late 1980s. Disney animation devotees will remember Stiers for his voiceover work as Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast (1988) and Lord Ratcliffe in Pocahontas (1995). Stiers continued his work in film, voiceover work and television, appearing in projects like Woody Allen's The Curse of the Jade Scorpion (2001), voicing Jumba in Lilo & Stitch (2002) and playing the recurring role of Oberoth on Stargate Atlantis in 2007. Parlaying his lifelong love of classical music into a second career, David Ogden Stiers has served as guest conductor for over 70 major U.S. symphony orchestras.
Markie Post (Actor) .. Tawney
Born: November 04, 1950
Trivia: Blonde, perky Markie Post is a television actress best known for playing curvaceous young prosecutor Christine Sullivan on the long-running sitcom Night Court between 1985 and 1992 and for starring in the controversial and short-lived romantic sitcom Hearts Afire (1992). Born Marjorie Post, she is the daughter of a nuclear physicist and a poet. She had a comfortable and quiet upbringing in California. Post studied acting while enrolled in Lewis and Clark College. She graduated in 1975 and was briefly married before she found work backstage writing questions for game shows and choosing prizes for The Price Is Right, Card Sharks, and Family Feud. She was about to be promoted to executive producer when Post decided it was time to work on her acting career. She made her television debut as a guest star on other series and on the very short-lived series Semi-Tough (1980). She next had a role in another short series, The Gangster Chronicles (1981), and then a longer lasting regular part on The Fall Guy from 1982 to 1985. After leaving the show, Post went on to appear in three television movies before landing her role on Night Court. Following the cancellation of Hearts Afire, Post, who was friends with the show's producers, Harry Thomason and Linda Bloodworth-Thomason, who in turn were friends of President Bill Clinton, was informally appointed a White House advisor. There she hosted an Inaugural special program for children and advised the President on ways to improve his image. Post also continued appearing in television movies such as Survival on the Mountain (1997) and making guest appearances on other shows.
