Darin Brooks (Actor)
Born: May 27, 1984
Birthplace: Honolulu, Hawaii, United States
Trivia: An actor born and raised in Honolulu, HI, Darin Brooks acquired a taste for acting from involvement in a local production of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods, then formally honed his skills as a thespian under the mentorship of Ivana Chubbuck and at Carter Thor Studios in the City of Angels. After an agent prompted Brooks to move to Los Angeles permanently, he met with Days of Our Lives casting director Fran Bascom and in 2005 snagged his first major role on that daytime soap, playing slick, young womanizer Max Brady.
De'Vaughn Nixon (Actor)
Born: July 08, 1983
Mark Derwin (Actor)
Born: October 28, 1960
Birthplace: Park Forest, Illinois, United States
Trivia: The versatile American character actor Mark Derwin initially launched himself as a late '80s soap opera heartthrob, with two roles that many housewives will count as unforgettable: that of A.C. Mallett on Guiding Light, and that of Adrian Hunter on The Young and the Restless. Allegedly a rebel during his early years, Derwin evinced limited interest in high school sports and attended the State University of New York at Cobbleskill, where he engaged in some undisclosed acts of "bad boy" mischief that prompted the university to boot him out. Stints at IBM (where his family worked), at a nursing home, and in carpentry and landscaping followed, but the actor felt a deep and lingering dissatisfaction that prompted him to seek out his one great passion: acting. Commercials followed -- for Nike, Toyota, Nissan, Fiesta Cigarettes (on Mexican television) -- then the soap opera period, which Derwin used as a kind of personalized workshop to develop and hone his acting craft. Prime-time viewers will invariably associate Derwin with his collaborations with Bonnie Hunt. Beginning in the mid-'90s, he joined the casts of two of the actress/comedienne's sitcoms: the short-lived Bonnie Hunt Show (1995) and the slightly more successful Life With Bonnie (2002). After that program received the pink slip, Derwin branched out into big-screen features. These included the teen comedies Dirty Deeds (2005) and Accepted (2006) and the psychological drama Laura Smiles (2005).
Kate Vernon (Actor)
Elizabeth Rice (Actor)
De'Vaughn Nixon (Actor)
Born: July 08, 1983
Georgia Engel (Actor)
Born: July 28, 1948
Died: April 12, 2019
Birthplace: Washington, District of Columbia, United States
Trivia: A beloved comedic actress whose breakthrough performance in the Mary Tyler Moore Show helped convince a disgruntled Ted Knight to stick with the series despite disappointment with his character, Georgia Engel's golden comic talents are only matched by her unmistakable blonde locks and remarkable zeal for her craft. A native of Washington, D.C., who studied her craft at The University of Hawaii, Engel appeared in Milos Forman's Taking Off and Jacques Deray's The Outside Man before joining the cast of The Mary Tyler Moore Show in a one-time role that was quickly expanded when producers made note of her comic abilities. Engel remained with the series until the end of its run in 1977, during which time she was nominated for two Emmy awards for her winning performances. If subsequent appearances on such short-lived sitcoms as The Betty White Show and Goodtime Girls found Engel's career floundering somewhat in the late-'70s/early-'80s, post-Mary Tyler Moore era, a six-year stint in the popular television series Coach in the early '90s found her back in top form. Of course that was only the beginning to Engel's comeback period, and following the cancellation of Coach in 1997, her success carried over into the new millennium with a recurring role on Everybody Loves Raymond. Minor voice work in Dr. Dolittle 2 preceded a return to the big screen in the 2002 comedy The Sweetest Thing, after which she made an appearance in theater opposite I Dream of Jeannie's Barbara Eden in The Odd Couple: The Female Version.
Roland Kickinger (Actor) .. Ox
Born: March 30, 1968
Trivia: Vienna-born bodybuilder Roland Kickinger has been putting his sizeable physique to use as an actor since the late '90s, with small appearances in movies like Lethal Weapon 4. In 2000, he was cast as bodybuilder Chip Rommel on the comedy series Son of the Beach, which he stayed with for two seasons. He later starred as Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 2005 biographical TV movie See Arnold Run. After a number of other roles, like The Showman in 2008's Street Warrior, Kickinger followed in Schwarzenegger's footsteps once again, playing the infamous T-800 Terminator in Terminator Salvation.
