In 2015, Bobby and Pam are on their way home from a worship service when their motorcycle collides with the truck CJ is driving. The two do not survive the crash, and CJ is put through court for reckless driving. JT, Bobby's brother, testifies before the judge. But instead of condemning CJ, he declares that he is willing to pay the fine. A beautiful friendship then starts to blossom between the two men.
