Trivia: Says he was "painfully shy" as a child. Was trained as a Shakespearean actor, but became interested in comedy after he was exposed to improv in college. First TV appearance was in a 1994 episode of ER. Returned to Detroit in 1997 and joined the Second City as a performer and writer. Has received multiple Joseph Jefferson Awards, given to honor achievement in Chicago theater. A founding member of the Planet Ant Theatre.
Jordan Peele (Actor)
Born: February 21, 1979
Birthplace: New York, New York, United States
Trivia: Intended to be a puppeteer in college, but dropped out to study comedy, including a stint with Boom Chicago in Amsterdam; while on a cast swap with Second City in Chicago in 2002, met his future comedic partner Keegan-Michael Key. Before the premiere of Key & Peele on Comedy Central in 2012, overlapped with Key for several seasons in the cast of MADtv. Unsuccessfully auditioned to play Barack Obama on Saturday Night Live in 2008 (the role went to Fred Armisen), but would earn acclaim for impersonating the president on Key & Peele in 2012. Like Key, has a black father and a white mother, a biracial status that provides a unique cultural sensitivity and informs much of their comedy.

Trivia: Struggled with substance abuse until he got into a near-fatal car accident in 2002; this prompted him to get sober. Wrote and starred in a pilot for Comedy Central in 2011 titled @RobDelaney, based on his popular Twitter account. Won the Funniest Person on Twitter Award at The Comedy Awards in 2012. Participated in Comedy Central's A Night of 140 Tweets: A Celebrity Tweet-A-Thon for Haiti in 2010. Wrote a memoir titled Rob Delaney: Mother. Wife. Sister. Human. Warrior. Falcon. Yardstick. Turban. Cabbage., which was published in 2013. Wrote columns for Vice and The Guardian.

Trivia: African-American actor and comic Jerry Minor attended secondary school at Southwestern Academy in Flint, MI, graduating in 1985. He subsequently performed (at various times) at all three Second City venues. In 2000, Minor became one of the inimitable "Not Ready for Prime Time Players," during Saturday Night Live's 25th season. Following writing assignments on Cedric the Entertainer's variety program, Cedric the Entertainer Presents, and a supporting role in the 2006 sports comedy Artie Lange's Beer League, Minor joined the casts of two sitcoms: the 2006 Lucky Louie and the 2007 Carpoolers.

Trivia: Started his career in college appearing in student theater productions, including the lead role in Sweeney Todd. Is an alumnus of Minneapolis' Brave New Workshop, whose past members include Al Franken, Peter MacNicol and Mo Collins. Landed his first major TV role with Comedy Central's Cops parody Reno 911! While still appearing as a police officer on Reno 911! on TV, he played a prison guard in the 2004 movie Meet the Fockers. In addition to his film and television work, has lent his voice to various video game, including Iron Man 2, Mafia II and Crash: Mind Over Mutant.

Trivia: Began writing and performing as part of his high school's annual comedy revue. Was a swimmer at the University of Wisconsin for two and a half years, but was eventually removed from the team for bad behavior. Worked as a writers' assistant on FOX's Bones and as a production assistant on HBO's Real Time With Bill Maher. Met future Workaholics costars Adam DeVine, Blake Anderson and Kyle Newacheck through the sketch-comedy group Second City L.A. in 2006; they later created their own sketch-comedy group, Mail Order Comedy. The character he played on Workaholics, Ders, shares his name and personality: they both drove a Volvo and are former swimmers.
