Felicity Jones (Actor) .. Jyn Erso
Born: October 17, 1983
Birthplace: Bournville, Birmingham, England
Trivia: Actress Felicity Jones paid her dues as a teenager, playing a recurring character on the low-budget U.K. fantasy series The Worst Witch. Her next big break would be a TV role, as well, but part of Zoe Brogan on the drama Cape Wrath would come with considerably more prestige. Jones then branched out with a part in the 2008 of the novel Brideshead Revisited and a prominent role in the 2009 Stephen Frears film Chéri. Jones co-starred in the well-received romantic drama Like Crazy, and scored her first Oscar nomination for her work in 2014's The Theory of Everything playing the wife of celebrated scientist Stephen Hawking.
Diego Luna (Actor) .. Captain Cassian Andor
Born: December 29, 1979
Birthplace: Mexico City, Mexico
Trivia: By the time director Alfonso Cuarón's Y Tu Mamá También took stateside arthouse theaters by storm in the early months of 2002, actor Diego Luna had been a fixture of Mexican film and television for nearly a decade. Though his breakout success could only be hinted at when he appeared in director Julian Schnabel's critically acclaimed drama Before Night Falls the previous year, it was his turn as a naïve, sex-starved teen in Cuarón's coming-of-age comedy drama that catapulted him to international stardom. A native of Mexico City whose mother died in a car accident when he was a mere two years old, Diego Luna was left to be raised by his father, Alejandro -- widely renowned as one of Mexico's most talented set designers. The draw of the entertainment industry, to which his father's work exposed him, proved too irresistible for the talented aspiring actor, and before long, Luna was refining his skills on both stage and screen. Following his debut in the 1991 short film El Último Fin de Año (The Last New Year), Luna appeared opposite childhood pal Gael García Bernal in the popular television soap opera El Abuelo y Yo (1992). His star quickly rising, Luna was soon noticed by casting directors, and in 1996, he took the lead for the musical drama El Cometa and the thriller Un Dulce Olor a Muerte (both 1999). To those who saw the films, it was obvious that the young star had leading-man talent, though it was a partnership with longtime friend Bernal that truly sparked both actors' careers. Y Tu Mamá También was released in Mexico in June of 2001 to huge box-office success, and it didn't take the rest of the world long to wonder what all of the fuss was about. Alternately funny, moving, sad, and affecting, the story of two hormone-fueled friends (Luna and Bernal) who hit the road with a sexy free spirit (Maribel Verdú) drew controversy for its overt sexuality. But those willing to look past that aspect were treated to a touching tale of friendship, loss, and the importance of living every moment of life to its fullest. With international offers subsequently flooding his doorstep, Luna remained in Mexico for a trio of films before accepting supporting roles in Frida and Vampires: Los Muertos in 2002. His status as an international star was confirmed when director Kevin Costner cast Luna in the 2003 Western Open Range. Following high-profile roles in Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights and Criminal (both 2004) the young star stepped before the camera for none other than Steven Spielberg for the 2004 drama The Terminal, which was inspired by the true-life tale of Iranian refugee Merhan Karimi Nasseri. He worked steadily, reteaming with Bernal in 2008 for the soccer drama Rudo y Cursi. That same year he was a producer on the well-reviewed Sin Nombre, and appeared as one of Harvey Milk's lovers in the award-winning biopic by director Gus Van Sant. In 2012 he had a small part in the thriller Contraband, and had a major part, again alongside Bernal, in the Will Ferrell Spanish-language comedy Casa de mi Padre.
Mads Mikkelsen (Actor) .. Galen Erso

He would appear in many Danish films throughout the '90s, such as Pusher and Bleeder and on the series Unit One before transitioning into American cinema, playing Tristan in 2004's King Arthur and villain La Chiffre in 2006's Casino Royale. Mikkelsen would soon follow this up with roles in Monsters vs. Aliens, Valhalla Rising, and 2010's Clash of the Titans, in which he played Draco.
Ben Mendelsohn (Actor) .. Director Orson Krennic

Birthplace: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Trivia: Lead actor, onscreen from the '80s.
Donnie Yen (Actor) .. Chirrut Îmwe
Born: July 27, 1963
Birthplace: Guangzhou, China
Trivia: A sharp-skilled martial artist who has gone on to a successful career as a director and choreographer, Donnie Yen has found success in both his homeland China and in the hustle and bustle of Tinsletown. Working on projects ranging from the traditional Chinese martial-arts period piece Once Upon a Time in China II (1992) to the bone-crunching science fiction-vampire opus Blade II, Yen has distinguished himself as a formidable figure in the ranks of action cinema. Born in Canton, China, in July 1963, Yen's family moved to Hong Kong when Yen was two, again relocating to Boston, MA, when he was 11. It was in Boston that his mother, Bow Sim-Mark, a famous Wushu and Tai Chi master, ran the internationally famous Chinese Wushu Research Institute. A musically inclined youngster who excelled at the piano, Yen was educated by his mother in the martial arts from the moment he took his first steps. An addiction to Hong Kong cinema only fueled the energetic teenager's love for martial arts, and Yen would frequently find himself emulating the awe-inspiring moves of such film legends as Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. Worried that Yen spent a little too much of his time in Boston's notorious Combat Zone, his concerned parents sent him to Beijing on a two-year training program with the Beijing Wushu Team. Studying alongside such future stars as Jet Li, Yen began to build the confidence and self-discipline to become a Wushu master; he also made history as the first non-PRC Chinese to be accepted to the school. Fate intervened at a pit stop in Hong Kong en route back to his home in Boston, and Yen's chance meeting with legendary filmmaker/choreographer/action director Yuen Woo-Ping served as the inspiration Yen was seeking to break into the film industry. After appearing in minor roles in such 1980s Woo-Ping films as Tai Chi Master (1984) and Tiger Cage (1988), Yen received his breakout role in director Tsui Hark's massively popular Once Upon a Time in China II (1992). Cast opposite peer Jet Li, the duo engaged in a pair of fight scenes that would rank among the most inventive and exhilarating in martial arts film history. Even opposite such formidable talent as Li, Yen's creative fighting skills were so effective that he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the 1992 Hong Kong Film Awards. Later turning to the small screen to perfect his cinematic fighting skills and sharpen his abilities as a director, Yen began to earn a reputation as a director of unparalleled focus who was always able to deliver in even the most discouraging film shoots. Aiming to create films that would not only thrill, but stir the emotions deep within an audience, Yen made his feature directorial debut with 1997's Legend of the Wolf. Drawing from his choreography experiences on such films as Iron Monkey (1993) and Wing Chun (1994) and combining them with his experience as a filmmaker, Yen made little impact at the Hong Kong box office with Legend of the Wolf, though the upbeat filmmaker would continue to refine his skills both at home and abroad. Subsequent efforts such as Ballistic Kiss (1998) and City of Darkness (1999) found Yen entering John Woo territory in terms of cinematic style, and prominent appearances in such popular American films as Highlander: Endgame (2000) and Blade II (2002) (both of which found Yen serving double-duty as fight choreographer in addition to acting) found his audience expanding and his skills as a choreographer in increasing demand.
Forest Whitaker (Actor) .. Saw Gerrera
Born: July 15, 1961
Birthplace: Longview, Texas
Trivia: Forest Whitaker attended college on a football scholarship, then, interested in Opera, transferred to U.S.C. on two more scholarships to study Music and Theater. He landed small roles on television and in two films, beginning with Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982). He got his big break when he appeared in Oliver Stone's Platoon and Martin Scorsese's The Color of Money (both 1986). After a few more supporting roles, Whitaker got his first lead in Clint Eastwood's Bird (1988), in which he played the title role -- heroin-addicted jazz great Charlie Parker, a performance which won him the 1988 Cannes Film Festival Best Actor award. Although now better-known as an lead actor, he was unable to greatly capitalize on his success and remained primarily a supporting player in films. He is the older brother of actor Damon Whitaker.

Leaped to stardom in China with 1986's Hibiscus Town; international acclaim followed the next year with Red Sorghum. Made the transition to directing with In the Heat of the Sun in 1994. Sophomore directorial effort Devils on the Doorstep, about the Japanese occupation of China during World War II, won the Grand Prix at Cannes in 2000 but was banned in China for being "insufficiently patriotic"; he was also banned from directing for seven years. In 1986, Smits was signed to play tyro attorney Victor Sifuentes on the weekly NBC series L.A. Law, a role which would win him a fervent fan following as well as an Emmy. He eventually left the series to pursue a theatrical film career, but by 1994 was back on the small screen in such cable-TV productions as The Cisco Kid and Solomon and Sheba. While filming the latter production in Morocco, Smits was asked by the producers of the TV series NYPD Blue to replace another actor with movie aspirations, David Caruso. In the fall of 1994, Smits made his NYPD Blue bow in the role of detective Bobby Simone, almost immediately reclaiming the viewers who'd sworn to desert the series when Caruso left. Following this personal triumph, Smits starred in 1995's Mi Familia, a critically acclaimed film of barrio life.In 1998, after four years in the role of Simone, Smits chose to leave NYPD Blue, though the show would continue for another seven years without him. The first few years of his career following the departure from the show were somewhat lackluster, but Smits eventually landed the role of Senator Bail Organa in the second and third Star Wars prequels, a move that would permanently cement him in film history in the minds of at least one very large fanbase. In addition to his work with the Star Wars franchise, Smits also made an inevitable return to the small-screen mid-decade with a prominent role on NBC's The West Wing during the show's 2004-2005 season. Smits continued to find success on the small screen for his turn as assistant district attorney Miguel Prado.
