Rider Strong (Actor) .. Shawn Hunter
Born: December 11, 1979
Birthplace: San Francisco, California, United States
Trivia: Best known to Gen-Y'ers as Shawn Hunter, the resident high-school heartthrob and best friend of teen Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) on the ABC Friday-night sitcom Boy Meets World (1993-2000), Rider Strong was born in San Francisco and entered show business with a portrayal of Gavroche in a local stage production of Les Miserables. He first moved into television work at age 12 as the son of Julie Andrews on the star's eponymous sitcom, Julie (1992), then landed guest-star bits on such programs as Evening Shade, Empty Nest, Davis Rules, and Going Places. World, of course, represented Strong's career breakthrough and secured a major fan base for him (particularly among teenage girls). As the series neared closure in the late '90s, Strong branched out into film roles -- first with a small part in the sentimental Billy Crystal comedy My Giant (1998), then as a horror star in such opuses as Cabin Fever (2002), Borderland (2007), and Cabin Fever 2 (2009). Strong later switched his focus to writing, directing and starring in short films. In 2014, Strong returned to his roots, reprising his role of Shawn Hunter on the Boy Meets World spin-off Girl Meets World.
Danielle Fishel (Actor) .. Topanga Lawrence
Born: May 05, 1981
Birthplace: Mesa, Arizona, United States
Trivia: Actress Danielle Fishel grew up in Yorba Linda, CA, as the daughter of a medical equipment salesman, and entered the limelight at age ten with an appearance in a doll commercial. Continued involvement in show business beckoned, and under the aegis of her mother's management, she landed a string of guest spots on network sitcoms during the very early '90s, then signed on as one of the regular cast members on the situation comedy Boy Meets World (1993-2000). On that program, Fishel played Topanga Lawrence, teenage girlfriend and then wife of the lead character (Ben Savage). She remained with the series for all of its seven seasons, and netted viewer loyalty for helping to evolve the character from a head-in-the-clouds preteen hippie to a thoughtful and mature young woman.Fishel took her feature bow as a cheerleader in the 2000 crime picture Longshot (aka Jack of All Trades), then joined the casts of such outings as National Lampoon Presents: Dorm Daze (2003), Gamebox 1.0 (2004), and National Lampoon's Dorm Daze 2 (2006). Following a memorable appearance on The Tyra Banks Show in 2006, she became a special correspondent for the show. Her career on talk shows continued when she began hosting The Dish in 2008, a weekly show on the Style Network. Fishel returned to acting when Disney Channel announced, in 2012, plans for a spin-off to Boy Meets World called Girl Meets World.
Anthony Tyler Quinn (Actor) .. Jonathan Turner
Born: July 25, 1962
Adam Scott (Actor) .. Griff
Born: April 03, 1973
Birthplace: Santa Cruz, California, United States
Trivia: A native of Santa Cruz, CA, who was born in 1973, actor Adam Scott first encountered acting in elementary school, on a decidedly negative note (thanks to a not-so-pleasant experience in a science play), but by mid-adolescence changed his views about the craft and aggressively pursued a career in drama. He applied, and was accepted to, the American Academy of Dramatic Art in Pasadena, then made the short move west to Hollywood with several buddies. The actor took his bow with a guest bit on the series Dead at 21, and thereafter largely divided his time between television and the theatrical stage. In the television venue, guest roles followed on series including ER and NYPD Blue, as well as a recurring parts on Murder One, Party of Five, and on the Friday-night ABC sitcom Boy Meets World as high school senior Griff Hawkins. Scott moved into features in the late '90s and scored supporting roles in A-list Hollywood features; thereafter, the roles arrived quickly and furiously. Projects included Payback (1997), The Aviator (2004), Art School Confidential (2006), Knocked Up (2007), and Step Brothers (2008). Small-screen enthusiasts may also remember Scott for his role as Palek, one of the troubled husbands on the racy HBO relationship drama series Tell Me You Love Me (2007). He appeared in Step Brothers, but started to generate buzz as the lead in the made for cable comedy series Party Down. He joined the cast of Parks and Recreation in that show's second season which led quickly to roles in a number of big-screen comedies including Leap Year, Our Idiot Brother, and Friends With Kids.
Blake Soper (Actor) .. Joey
Ethan Suplee (Actor) .. Frankie
Born: May 25, 1976
Birthplace: New York, New York, United States
Trivia: Born May 25th, 1976, Manhattan native Ethan Suplee began to realize his love for acting early in life through school plays and drama projects. Lacking a sense of direction after graduating from high school, Suplee was prompted by friend and fellow actor Giovanni Ribisi to attend acting classes; Suplee took his friend's advice. Frustrated at his teacher's lack of promotion and encouragement, Suplee dropped out after one year and soon landed his first major role, as a recurring character on the television sitcom Boy Meets World in 1994. After making his feature debut in Mallrats, Suplee stuck mainly to the big screen, with diverse roles in such films as Desert Blue and the controversial American History X (both 1998). Frequently appearing in later Kevin Smith efforts, as well as comedies like Road Trip (2000) and Evolution (2001), Suplee also appeared in the drama Blow (2001), and with Denzel Washington in both Remember the Titans (2000) and the emergency room hostage drama John Q. (2001). Suplee found success on the small screen on My Name is Earl (2005), when he took on the role of Lee's dimwitted friend. In 2009 Suplee appeared in the critically acclaimed drama Brothers, and later joined the cast of the USA Network's sitcom Wilfred in 2011.
Jared Murphy (Actor) .. Matt
Kelly Packard (Actor) .. Candy
Born: January 29, 1975
Charles Carpenter (Actor) .. Savage
Robert Goulet (Actor)
Born: November 26, 1933
Died: October 30, 2007
Birthplace: Lawrence, Massachusetts, United States
Trivia: Robert Goulet was raised in Edmonton, Alberta and trained at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. After several years' worth of straw-hat musical appearances on both sides of the border--as well as a stint as a Canadian kiddie-show host named "Timber Tom"--Goulet made his triumphant Broadway debut in 1959 as Lancelot in Lerner and Loewe'sCamelot. His signature tune in that show was "If Ever I Would Leave You," which proved an even bigger hit as a record single. On the strength of this song and others like "What Kind of Fool Am I," Goulet earned a Grammy award in 1962. Two years later, his album My Love Forgive Me went gold, and in 1965, he won a Tony for his performance in the Broadway musical The Happy Time. Goulet's bid for film stardom in 1964 yielded the disappointing Honeymoon Hotel; he fared better on television, starring in the 1966 espionage series Blue Light and headlining TV adaptations of Brigadoon, Carousel and Kiss Me Kate. He returned to films in the early 1980s, essaying campy character roles in Beetlejuice (1988) and Naked Gun 2 1/2 (1990); most often, as in Atlantic City (1980) and Scrooged (1988), he has guest-starred as "himself." Having recently survived a life-threatening bout with colon cancer, Goulet recovered sufficiently to perform in a multi-city tour of Camelot, this time in the leading role of King Arthur. Married three times, Robert Goulet's second wife was actress/singer Carol Lawrence. He died of pulmonary fibrosis in 2007.
Yasmine Bleeth (Actor)
Born: June 14, 1968
Birthplace: New York, New York, United States
Trivia: The Baywatch beauty who had millions of male viewers glued to their televisions with her slow-motion jaunts across sandy beaches, Yasmine Bleeth proved a lucrative television draw throughout the 1990s, though multiple run-ins with police in the early new millennium led many to whisper rumors of a fall from grace. Born in New York City on June, 14, 1968, Bleeth began her career in front of the cameras early when at age six she made her television debut in a Johnson & Johnson commercial. Featured prominently in Max Factor cosmetics ads, Bleeth was already a recognizable television ad-girl when she began attending high school at New York's United Nations International School. Roles in such television soap operas as Ryan's Hope and One Life to Live proved that she was more than just another pretty face, and in 1994 she found the perfect platform for both her beauty and talents when she landed the role of lifeguard Caroline Holden on the international television hit Baywatch. Also appearing in such made-for-television movies as A Face to Die For and Talk to Me (both 1996), her three-year stint on Baywatch came during the show's peak popularity and provided the comely actress with maximum small-screen exposure. A recurring role in the popular prime-time actioner Nash Bridges followed on the heels of her departure from Baywatch, and subsequent film and television roles hinted toward Bleeth's growing popularity and ability to draw an audience. It was the month before her debut on Aaron Spelling's television drama Titans that Bleeth was arrested in Romulus, MI, and brought up on charges of intoxicated driving and a felony cocaine-possession charge when police discovered multiple syringes in addition to liquid cocaine in her car after Bleeth failed a routine roadside sobriety test. A shocking photograph of Bleeth following a 36-hour drug bender showed that cocaine had ravaged the actress once voted one of the 50 most beautiful people ever by People Magazine, and rumors of a downward spiral spread through the tabloids. Pleading guilty to the charges found the former Baywatch starlet avoiding jail time but getting 100 hours of community service. She met now husband Paul Cerrito in rehab, and the two moved to Arizona.
