Trivia:
The daughter of the late documentarist-cum-naturalist (and "Crocodile Hunter") Steve Irwin, Australian Bindi Irwin was only eight years old when her father died from a stingray attack in September 2006. She subsequently joined her mother, Terri, by co-hosting a series of all-star musical performances around the world that touted her dad's cause of wildlife appreciation. One of Bindi's first tastes of show business had actually come prior to Steve's death, when she headlined her own exercise video for children, Bindi KidFitness with Steve Irwin and the Crocmen (2006), but she attained broader exposure the following year, by participating with her mother in the documentary tribute My Daddy the Croc Hunter and tackling her own educational series Bindi, the Jungle Girl on the Discovery Kids Network. The latter program found Bindi teaching young viewers to fearlessly love and appreciate exotic animals. It also posthumously featured footage of Steve Irwin and worked in animated sequences of father and daughter together. She made her acting debut in 2010's Free Willy: Escape from Pirate's Cove.
