Trivia: Voice actor Billy West was born in Detroit, MI, in 1950. He started doing celebrity impressions for The Howard Stern Show in the early '90s. He did a lot of commercials, including the voice of the Honey Nut Cheerios bee and various M&Ms. From 1991 to 1994, he provided the voice of Douglas Funnie on the Nickelodeon show Doug. West was also the voice of both Ren Höek and Stimpson J. Cat on The Ren & Stimpy Show for several seasons. Since providing voices for Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny in Space Jam (1996), he regularly voices Looney Tunes characters in feature films and straight-to-video releases. His other new versions of classic characters include Woody Woodpecker (The Woody Woodpecker Show), Shaggy from Scooby Doo (Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island), and Slimer from Ghostbusters (Extreme Ghostbusters). Grown-up audiences may recognize West most for his work on Futurama as the voice of Philip J. Fry, Professor Farnsworth, Dr. Zoidberg, and many others. He's also contributed to Dilbert, King of the Hill, and Crank Yankers. Billy West is also a blues guitarist and vocalist with the band Billy West and the Grief Counselors.
Tom Kenny (Actor)
Born: July 13, 1962
Birthplace: East Syracuse, New York, United States
Trivia: Voice actor Tom Kenny was born in New York and worked as a standup comedian. After brief roles in the comedy features How I Got Into College and Shakes the Clown, he started doing sketch comedy on the FOX series The Edge. One of his first voice acting gigs was the cow on Rocko's Modern Life. In 1995, he starting writing and acting on the HBO sketch comedy series Mr. Show with Bob Odenkirk and David Cross. It was there that he met his future wife, fellow cast member Jill Talley. After Mr. Show ended, Kenny turned to voice acting full-time with popular Cartoon Network series like Dexter's Laboratory. On The Powerpuff Girls, he provided colorful narration as well as several character voices. Grown-up audiences heard him on Dilbert, Futurama, The Animatrix, or Adam Sandler's Eight Crazy Nights. Though he has dozens of credits to his name, Kenny is probably most well known as the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants. First aired in 1999 on Nickelodeon, SpongeBob SquarePants is an animated series about a fry cook who lives at the bottom of the sea. Popular with both young and old audiences, the show became one of the most highly-rated cartoons on TV. Kenny was also the narrator and various other characters on the show, and reprised his role for The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie in 2004. The always-in-demand vocal talent performed multiple roles in The Ant Bully, took over the duty of voicing Rabbit in 2011's Winnie the Pooh, and gave Wheelie a voice in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. In 2012 he could be heard in Tim Burton feature length adaptation of his short film Frankenweenie.
Fred Tatasciore (Actor)
Laraine Newman (Actor) .. Running Girl
Born: March 02, 1952
Birthplace: Los Angeles, California, United States
Trivia: A student of mime artist Marcel Marceau, LA-born Laraine Newman utilized her artistic training in the cause of comedy. In 1972, she joined the Groundlings improvisational troupe (spawning ground for such major comic talents as Phil Hartman and Paul "Pee-wee Herman" Reubens), making her film debut with several fellow improvvers in the 1975 pastiche Tunnelvision. She went on to work as an ensemble player on the 1975 summer-replacement TV variety series Manhattan Transfer. From 1975 through 1980, Laraine was a regular on the ground-breaking weekend comedy series Saturday Night Live. While her contributions were always well-received, Laraine tended to play third banana to the other SNL ladies Gilda Radner and Jane Curtin, reportedly because of her acute shyness. Her best moments on the series occurred when she played alien teenager Laarta in the "Coneheads" sketches; her particular low point was the time she nearly drowned during a "witch-hunt" sketch starring Steve Martin. Free of her SNL duties in 1980, Laraine played a supporting role in Woody Allen's Stardust Memories, and was featured in such "comedy salads" (Ms. Newman's own term for feature films overloaded with TV comedians) as Wholly Moses (1980) and Yellowbeard (1982). The world first saw Ms. Newman's new nose job when she co-starred in the 1985 John Travolta-Jamie Lee Curtis starrer Perfect. The following year, Laraine hosted a syndicated "bad movie" TV anthology, Canned Film Festival. Laraine Newman's screen appearances of the 1990s have included the role of Susan Rock in 1993's The Flintstones and a revival of Laarta in the like-vintage The Coneheads.
